If you are desperate enough to find the answer, have a read through the last few pages of the Anglian thread. But If I were you, I wouldn't bore myself with the details.
Gary just wants to get as many together as possible from those who used to turn up, but a lot of us seem to have other things on right now. I'm sure it is nothing personal.

Gillian and I had a good time at Ashby Folville tonight (despite a brief rain shower). I was packed.

Didn't see any other LECers though....

Due to certain things possibly happening with some of our members at the present, i suggest this is put on hold until the end of August, when things might well become clearer for some members, & we might be able to organise a meet where most ( if not all ) can come.

Nice to hear from you, and glad you've still got the car. How are things over there? No plans to return to the lovely uk?

No plans to return as yet, we're having too much fun. Even with the reduced value of the £, it's still cheaper to live here and I guess the life style suits us better. Good to see that the East Mids is still going strong but scanning the members there's a few missing, Where's Steff and Dicko

Glad things are going good for you, I don't exactly think the EM group is still going strong - I mean we can't even organise a meet !

and as for Stef and Dico

A bit :offtopic: but this is the East Mids thread so what the hell?
I assume you mean front calipers?
These are similar to, but not quite the same as, a Mk3 Astra. Discs are from a Mk3 Astra, pads are from a Mk2 Cavalier/Mk1 Astra.

Rear brakes are from some US GM models. I can't quite remember which, but a few minutes spent browsing the parts cross-reference section will get find the answers you are looking for.

Hello all

Just had heads up from Gary to this thread.

Is there a date set yet? Weekend best for me really.

Not been on LEC for ages due to one thing and another. Main important thing is that I am still the proud owner of Blipi!

Will try to keep eye peeled for updates here!

Ta ta! :smt006

Hi all. Just got back into Elan ownership after several years away. Bought a BRG winter project and busily beavering away. Noticed Martin Bailey hails from Heath. I live a few miles from there myself. When are you guys getting together again?

Er, good question.
We seem to talk a bit about another meet, but have not arranged anything.
The last few suggestions have all been called off due to too many 'would like to but can't do that date' to make a meet worthwhile.
Need to arrange well in advance which now means cold weather & a lot of Elans staying at home.

Hi Clarky,

You might want to take a look at this thread....
viewtopic.php?f=75&t=13836#p179402
....... in which we ( the 'Northern' East Midlanders ) have been arranging our get-togethers.

As you can see from the photo, we've even been known to venture out when the weather's not so good :D
We generally meet up on the 2nd Sunday of each month, but didn't get together in October due to some folks attending the Malvern event on the 10th.

So....... our next outing should be on Sunday 8th Nov @13:00. We've been meeting at 'the Hutt' in Ravenshead, but any suggestions for alternate venues are more than welcome.

Cheers,

Martin.

Will keep my eye out. Bizarrely i was in Newstead Abbey last Sunday and noticed a red M100 with a bit of a ding on the rear bumper in the car park. Small world eh?.
