Tuesday is the best night for me - as it used to be for all the regulars.

I'm seriously thinking of cancelling this now....

I'm still not counting myself out for tomorrow but it is not really much of a meet with just 4, 2 of whom will be arriving late.

How about a scoff & spin one Sunday lunchtime? Maybe more will be able to make that? Obviously not this week though because it clashes with IOM.

It's manageable.

You live on the edge of the area covering those who may attend, so....
Those heading from the South could meet up & convoy around a few roads.
We could then meet & eat.
No need to take an Elan really. There is usually at least one of us who takes a non-Lotus anyway. :mrgreen:
So you can bring the whole family in the family car.

No, wrong again, we used to have tuesdays because it was the only night Dico could make it, not because it suited.

I suggest this should now be cancelled, & re-arranged when we have established where & when is more suitable to the majority.

Well if a bit more of an effort had gone into sorting this in the 1st place, it could of been done & dusted by now, just knew i should of done this myself :roll:

Wrong...you've forgotten the Catmobile!.
It's true that many bits of it have been sold, but the V5 identifies a car by the VIN, which I believe remains with the chassis.
I believe Paul still has the chassis, so technically he is still an Elan owner.
& I'm sure we would all welcome him anyway even if he wasn't.

Well it just shows that elan owner or not, i'm prepared to put a bit of effort in & try & sort a meet that suits everyone, only problem is if i have it more than a stones throw away from your house, will you come ?
Thanks for the kind words rippers, although my elan ownership days are over (for the time being anyway ), i can pass on my knowledge of the car, which having built one from the chassis up is quite extensive ( if i can remember ? ), whereas some of us don't even lift the bonnet :wink:

hey all , just read through " ALL " this thread , sounds like this meet is hard work ? wouldnt it be easier to all just meet @ one of the many classic shows around and see where it goes from there ? ,,, just a thought :?: , cheers , terry
