I'll now be working in London until 6 on Tuesday, so the earliest I can get there is about 9.00. :(
I'll still go, but just too late to eat.

Tuesday is the best night for me - as it used to be for all the regulars.

I'm seriously thinking of cancelling this now....

I know what you mean, Gary.
I'm still not counting myself out for tomorrow but it is not really much of a meet with just 4, 2 of whom will be arriving late.

How about a scoff & spin one Sunday lunchtime? Maybe more will be able to make that? Obviously not this week though because it clashes with IOM.

That means we would have to come with the kids and in 2 cars, which defies the object really.

It's manageable.

You live on the edge of the area covering those who may attend, so....
Those heading from the South could meet up & convoy around a few roads.
We could then meet & eat.
No need to take an Elan really. There is usually at least one of us who takes a non-Lotus anyway.
So you can bring the whole family in the family car.

This might come as a bit of a shock Gary, but it ain't just about you :!:

No, wrong again, we used to have tuesdays because it was the only night Dico could make it, not because it suited.

I suggest this should now be cancelled, & re-arranged when we have established where & when is more suitable to the majority.

I can't believe we're on the 4th page of a thread for what appears to be a non-event.

Well if a bit more of an effort had gone into sorting this in the 1st place, it could of been done & dusted by now, just knew i should of done this myself

Ok, I've tried and failed. This is CANCELLED

Some-one else can try and set up another meet if they like, otherwise Gillian and I shall enjoy the kitty

As Gary appears to of given up at the 1st sign of a problem  , i will take this mantle on, & will try to organise a meet where we can all come :) , so spend some of your own money Mr Harvey, & the kitty can wait for another day.

Wrong...you've forgotten the Catmobile!.
It's true that many bits of it have been sold, but the V5 identifies a car by the VIN, which I believe remains with the chassis.
I believe Paul still has the chassis, so technically he is still an Elan owner.
& I'm sure we would all welcome him anyway even if he wasn't.

Well it just shows that elan owner or not, i'm prepared to put a bit of effort in & try & sort a meet that suits everyone, only problem is if i have it more than a stones throw away from your house, will you come ?
Thanks for the kind words rippers, although my elan ownership days are over (for the time being anyway ), i can pass on my knowledge of the car, which having built one from the chassis up is quite extensive ( if i can remember ? ), whereas some of us don't even lift the bonnet
