HERTS/ESSEX/CAMBS THE CRICKETERS ARMS 2ND TUESDAY EACH MONTH

Postby Dave Eds » Sat 10.07.2010, 09:42

As the curry nights have become sporadic (and because Bob doesn't eat curry but does like a beer) we have agreed to meet at

The Cricketers Arms, Rickling Green, Near Saffron Walden, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 3YG on the 2nd Tuesday of each month commencing next Tuesday the 13th July. The reason for sticking with a Tuesday is so that as many of the original curry club can still attend (especially one Northern truck monkey) and so that any shift workers know where we will be when their shift pattern allows them to attend. Suggest we meet from 7pm onwards.

This is a nice venue on a village green with plenty of parking and only 10 minutes from J8 on the M11 and easily accessible from Cambs to the north and Herts to the west, They have a varied menu for both bar snacks and formal dining, and even do a curry. They also have rooms to cater for stopovers for Stansted Airport so if you're passing by on business or en route to your holiday why not consider staying over. check it out here

I can't be there for the first meet and Dico is away, but Bob and Caroline will almost certainly be there so please support this if you can!

I am not suprised at people not being able to attend as it was a bit short notice as it took spud a week to post it!
Lets hope the August meet works out better.
I'll pop along just to see what the place is like now as it has been a while since I was there and play at "billy no mates"
