I have a plan but it is a bit weather dependant as there is no point in going for a drive in the rain with the roof up

I won't be there for 6pm, I'll probably aim for 7pm, if I miss the drive it's not a problem, I'll just wait in the pub till everyone gets back...

I think lansledj is being a bit keen as most do not turn up till around 7 to 7:30 and I did think that starting at 8 ish would be a better time and a run in a loop of about 50mins.

Are prospective Elan owners welcome? I live in herts and am looking to buy an Elan, still a bit wet behind the ears when it comes to Elan knowledge, gleaned a lot of info from this forum but have only test driven one car so far, which by the way was enough to confirm beyond all doubt that I need one! Just need to find the right car. Anyway I think it would be great if I could meet up with you guys, check out your cars, get some advice etc. Eventually I'd join you with my own Elan too, once I get my hands on one!

??

Paul, yep all welcome owners or not :D . We also get together at the Hare in Roxwell near the end of the month and also with the SELOC guys on the 2nd saturday but there are lots of different cars that meet.

If your free tomorrow or sunday lots of us are at the Lotus festival at brands hatch and you welcome to tag along

Cool, thanks!

I'm visiting family up north this weekend otherwise I'd have come to Brands , sounds really good.

Where is the SELOC meet usually at? And when is the next Herts/Essex/Cambs meet after 9th Sept (I'm on holiday until then!)

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Many on here don't get involved with SELOC very often simply because it is 1 forum too many.

Dave mentions Ace Cafe (3rd Wednesdsay of every month). This has been poorly attended by Elan owners lately. 2 of us go most months but not usually in our Elans :( so even if we are there, you will be unlikely to find us.

You may find this car show worthwhile, but the Elans will be stuck there for the day: no chance to test drive them.

Depending on where you are, Rickling Green is probably your best option to have a look at a few Elans. If you have to go via Buntingford, you'll enjoy the drive.

I can't make it this month.
I'm still undecided about St Mary's on Sunday too.

Bit early I know, but who's going on the 9th?
I'm hoping to and if the weather's ok I'll bring the Elan, it will probably be it's last run before it gets pulled apart over the winter..
