With no further preferences having been put forward I propose we settle on Sunday 18th May then.

Once we, hopefully, have a few people signed up for this we can then settle on a venue. Suggestions for the venue are welcome but please keep in mind that should both Rob and Cliff join in, then somewhere roughly mid way between Preston and Scunthorpe would be good.

Let's start a list:

A bit tentative at the moment, will confirm a bit nearer the time. It's only 120 miles between Preston & Scunthorpe so anywhere is fine by me, the car could do with a good run.

I'm in providing the Lotus is roadworthy

2. Cliff

Hoping to have the interior back together in the coming weekends and whilst it will be late for the MOT date of the 1st April I have the car taxed and hopeful there are no real issues, handbrake might be the one thing to watch as it's pathetic

Looking at the map and searching for suitable places to meet how about this one?

Dog & Partridge

Good size car park, decent looking food and roughly centrally located.

Still hoping to make this providing I can get the windows back into the car after fitting the new window seals, nightmare removing the old ones and currently waiting on a spare bobbin and Uclips for the mechanisms.

There never seems to be an easy job on these cars

I am still waiting for these idiots at GAZ to deliver the front shocks after my corrosion issues, so annoyingly I cannot confirm anything yet. :x :banghead:

Well apologies to all but Sadly I will not be able to make it this weekend, Loads of jobs now completed but only just finished. Trouble is MOT ran out last month and now need to take it to my friendly Lotus Garage for the MOT this weekend and leave it for them to have it done next week. Shame as the forecast is looking pretty good as well.
Jobs done as follows
Window seals sorted thanks to buying the last set of Dapinky, they look nice but what a job to get them in (including new parts for the windows along the way  )
Interior sorted and new metal welded into the outrigger and por 15 treatment on them.
Replacement seats fitted and new carpets laid (waiting for new car mats from Hamiltons, bought via Club Lotus to get the 10% discount)
TPS replaced and car now running a whole lot better and no cutting out

Final job today was the handbrake which now operates nicely on both sides to five clicks with the Hi Specs which appear to have the Bob Brown longer levers on them which helps.

Have a great trip out guys and hope to catch you all soon

Rob, really sorry that you're not able to be there. Cliff, I do hope you will be able to make it, let us know.

Sunday's weather looks very promising! Is anybody definitely going or will I be "Billy No Mates"? :(

Looks like I am out as well. The a-holes at GAZ still haven't delivered my new shocks, so the car is still up on stands. :x :x

Have a good day out, hope we can arrange something later in the year.
