As requested, here is a new thread.

Maybe for 2006 we should consider both the frequency of the meetings and also the location.

Attendances are always better when the evenings are lighter, and if we meet too often its not such an event, so perhaps meeting 3 times a year at 3 month intervals, with the first in March, then June and finally September? On the the 3rd Thursday in the month, as before.

Location could be different for each meeting, say the first one at original venue (the Talbot in Belbroughton, on Worcestershire/West Mids border), the next in Staffordshire, and the third in Warwickshire, to spread the travelling? If the March meeting was at the Talbot on 16th then the next venue could be discussed & confirmed, and so on.

Only a suggestion, please feel free to put forward your own ideas.

Rotating the meetings is a good idea as far as I am concerned. Do you think it would be better to start in Feb so that we can all meet before Donington?
The Arrow Mill at Alcester where Club Lotus and LDC meet would be good as ther is a big car park and he welcomes car/bike clubs.

My 'Diva' AKA the original Money Pit won't be out of 'her' storeage box until March, so whilst I'm up for a meeting/catch up, it will have to be in my mass produced family saloon, from the German shores.

If there is enough agreement we could bring the March meeting forward to Feb; I now realise that 16th March is immediately before Donington weekend - not sure if that would help or hinder attendance. Like Darren I favour a March meet myself.

The Arrow could be a good place for the Warwickshire meeting; we could make that the 2nd one and somewhere north of Brum the third. That way we have one on all points of the compass, except the east which is already catered for by Stef's group

Sounds like an excellent plan, count me in for whichever date/venue you want to go for.

9th of March would be good for me at present...

I'm up for the staffordshire one.......north of stafford would be good though.......anywhere top side of the A50 would be good for me!!!!

OK, maybe you can research a possible venue. We need a good, safe car park (preferably in view of the bar), decent beer & food. Perhaps within the Stafford/Uttoxeter/Stoke triangle?

I think The Fullmoon (Halesowen) should be the venue for ALL the midlands meets, it's only 100 yards from my front door and serves crap beer and crap food.The car park is littered with glass and there is one table outside which they call the beer garden.

It is within the Stoke, Birmingham, Worcester triangle..................

Go west on A491 from J4 on the M5. Left at traffic lights signed B4118 to Belbroughton. Straight on to T junction where B4118 meets the High St, pub is on the right, car park on left.

Just a reminder that there is an informal meet planned this coming Thursday (9th) at The Talbot, Belbroughton, around 7.30 pm.

To get an idea of numbers, can anyone planning to come add their name/respond to this post.

I SHOULD be there, pending any work comitments that will come up between now and then.
