Ah, the Dolomite Sprint [sigh] I used to think that was the bees knees at one time. Fortunately, I've matured a bit.

Update on this evening: I'm afraid I'm OUT. dog is back from the vet but still v woozy from the anaesthetic and I have been advised to stay with him all evening. Sorry to drop out but hope to see folks soon and Bon Voyage to Pete 8)

What are they doing to you?

Nothing. That was the problem.

The vendor was meant to have supplied the architect with plans who was meant to have submitted plans of the changes to the villa (like the garage) to the College of Architects who sign a certificate which the mortgage valuer needs to sign off the valuation which the bank need to sign off the mortgage which we needed to complete on Thursday. Not quite sure whether the vendor or Pedro the architect was to blame but it ain't happened so I was frantically trying to a) get it moving and b) find somewhere to lay our heads tomorrow night. Looks like we're squatting in our lower wing tomorrow onwards so we'll at least be able to walk around visiting people in a menacing manner. It may end up being done in the nude as I haven't packed yet.

Sorry we couldn't give you the traditional BOLLECKS sendoff - How's it going?

Sounds like business as normal for sunny climes.

Well as for us, the packers came, packed and went again. So what is left here is either for William (after we abandon him) or left in error. Because we are keeping the house and furnishings it still looks like a bomb has hit it with just 3 days left before we depart.

The car left last week on the MSC Maureen (made me laugh as I've been teasing my wife with comparisons over draft and width) which I've been tracking and tonight, as I type, is passing Brest in Western France.

I'm sorry about our not all meeting up, I haven't completely given up on trying to see Dave (I have his brake tool to pass back) but it seems less likely now.

Anyhow, we can continue to liaise over the ZlEC and when we are all back at the same time maybe a meet will be possible then

Regards

Pete

Well, we completely blanked Welsh Elan Man, I'm sorry we were so rude, let's see if we can engender some support to end your isolation, the result is now history so we can welcome your presence!

Ok, guys, just the excuse you've been waiting for, I'm back in the Uk from 23rd (a week today no less) until the 2nd Jan; is there any appetite for a meet (lunchtime) for a jar and a jaw in between. As yet I can consider any dates as swmbo has yet to dictate the itinerary so keep some lunches free and let us know here possibilities and preferences. Venue can be discussed nearer the time!

Yes yes; I shall be glad of an excuse to escape from the "rigours" of Christmas. I may even have an on-the-road, functional Elan (bits of battery wiring going on at present prior to starting on the remote releases project referred to earlier.
You can come up and see my switches, Pete, if you want :-D

Sounds a good idea and I may crash the event (or keep the numbers up depending on your POV) as I am in Malvern for most of the Xmas/NY period. I will however be in the tin car....sorry I can't fulfil all the conditions.

Will keep an eye on prospective dates/times, but Grace has already filled most of my diary for the festive season :D :D :D

As the Mother In Law is coming to us for Christmas, I'll be glad of an excuse to escape! (Only joking!!!).

Free(ish) most dates, but NYE may not be a good day for getting away.

29th/30th would be my best dates, but flexible.

I could also do 29th (prior to checking with the Managing Director, which is always dangerous)

Mrs Jonathan (a.k.a. Pauline) has been informed. As in "you don't mind, do you, dear?". And has raised no objections   :gathering:

So we have 3, possibly 4, perhaps 5. Good grief!!! We'll wait on the Senoir Smith's advice prior to venue setting, I suggest?
