I have been searching for a M100 for a few years now, and finally
and luckily a Pacific Blue one came up for sale. The car was to have
been sold a couple of of months ago but the deal fell through and i was
lucky to be able to purchase it.
It is in need of a paint job, but is in excellent mechanical condition.
It is quick and quite nimble for a FWD car. I never knew a FWD car
could handle so well. Kudos to engineer John Miles for perfecting
the Elans handling. I guess "more thrill for less skill" describes how
user friendly the M100 really is.
I am very impressed with this site and I am happy to be aboard.
Carl

Welcome- saw you at the Conclave, but didn't get a chance to say hi. I have the green one that was parked behind you.

Welcome to the world of Elanning.
One thing you can do that should really impress you about the handling of this car is, from a stand-still, make an aggressive start while not holding the steering wheel. Notice the complete absence of torque-steer. Although the Isuzu Impulse I used to have (handling also Lotus) was pretty good, I've never seen that on any FWD car I've ever owned, and I've owned many.

I was lucky to have found it, only 17 Pacific Blue
M100's were ever made for the U.S. market.

17? You seem clued up.
I didn't think it was very popular over there. IMO it is a color which looks better for real than in a photo.

Hi rip
I agree the M100 looks great in Pacific Blue,
unfortunately mine looks better in photos
than in person since it is in dire need of a paint
job. I am currently talking with a body shop
to get the car sprayed. I hope it will look as good
as the day it left Hethel

Hi Carlotus!
Welcome to the forum and the joys of Elaning. PacBlue is truly a rarity and nearly my favorite color... nearly (mine's BRG) I'll be in Denver this weekend for a wedding, so if you see someone waiving like a darned fool, that'll be me.

Hi Doug
I'll look for you ha ha
A BRG came up for sale on E-bay
a few months back and I wasn't quick
enough and it sold. This time I jumped
on the pacific blue and I'm glad I did.
BTW BRG is a great color

Hey Carl, just stumbled across your introduction thread. Sure missing my Elan and hope it is treating you well. Pacific Blue certainly is a great color and I hope you'll be able to successfully nurse the color back to life. There was some discussion on the *other* forum that some were relating the Evora to the Elan. I chimed in about the pleasures of the Elan and it reminded me to come visit this site once again. Miss the community and miss the car.
How's the weather treating you on the other side of the hill there? We had a bunch of snow, all melted, and now it's starting up again.
Happy holidays!

Hi Jeff,
Apologies for the very late reply. I was certainly enjoying the Elan Jeff up until a
couple of weeks ago when winter hit with snow and sub-zero temps. I can certainly
understand why you miss her cause I am missing driving her and it's only been a few
weeks.
Have you taken delivery of the CO Evora yet? If so, I want to hear all about it.

Glad you're enjoying the Elan. I still miss the car - such a great ride. We've been having lots of sub-zero here too, but surprisingly little snow. Next week is another storm though, so we'll see!
I haven't received my BO (Burnt Orange) Evora yet, but the shipping company told the dealer today that they will be here Saturday morning. Two more days to go!
Hope you can get the Elan out again soon!
