LEC ID Badges

Postby al » Fri 22.02.2008, 11:35

Can anyone who's going to Donny and wants a LEC ID badge please post a reply to this thread with the picture you want on your badge as an attachment (Hit PostReply, and use the "Add an Attachment" section just below where you normally type your witty replies - click on browse, locate the correctly named picture [see below!], click OK, and submit).

QUITE IMPORTANT:

The pic needs to be square, a JPEG (.jpg extension), and, as all the women I've met always say, size isn't important, but bigger is probably better.

If you want your real name included on your badge too (perhaps 'cos you chose some wacky username), edit your LEC profile (right at the very top of the page, click on profile) , and set the Interests field to your name as you want it to appear on the badge.

REALLY IMPORTANT:
Before you post your pic here, rename it to EXACTLY match your LEC username, this is really important, if you don't do this or you get it wrong, your badge will not have your picture on it ! (and I reserve the right to put embarrassing images there instead)

Some examples just to make really sure that this REALLY IMPORTANT bit of info is clear:

 Do any of these, and the Lotus Gods will break your gear cables:

Code: Select all
Doug                      doug.jpg       - NO ! Bad dog, lowercase d
F1 LOTUS                  F1_LOTUS.jpg   - NO ! Bad dog, you put an underscore instead of a space
John_W                    John_W.gif     - NO ! Bad dog, that's a GIF, not a JPEG

:smt023 Do it like this, and may your right knee remain dry in even the harshest of light summer rain:

Code: Select all
Doug                      Doug.jpg       - Yep, Capital D
F1 LOTUS                  F1 LOTUS.jpg   - Yep, with a space in it
John_W                    John_W.jpg     - You get the idea, right ?

good question and I'm glad you asked

it's because John_W's username has an underscore in it, and LOTUS F1's doesn't ! :)

Haven't got many good pics - this'll have to do!

(A Manc 'Square' is obviously more rectangular than a BS Square!)

Paul,
you can make the picture square, but you lose most of the background.

You need to have a bigger picture to begin with....adjust your camera setting to 640 x 480 frame size at the highest resolution.

:D

Stupid question...

does it matter if I've made it square by adding a border...(CNTRL-A to see the real size)
