Okay then, as no-one else has made an effort, I've grasped the nettle, taken the bull by the horns, and taken up the poisoned challis.......

....Now I've run out of similies, here we go.......

I have spoken to the restaurant, and as Neil says, they already have a booking for the minibus between 7.15 and 7.30. They are expecting to be busy after then with removing all ornaments from the dining area and bar before the drunken louts get beered up and nick everything, so i have made a policy decision and booked a pick-up for 1845 hours.

I know its a bit early, but they have a bar at the place, so all is not lost!

Best of all, they do it as a complimentary service, so no complaining.

They will only do one pick-up location, and as i was sorting it out, I've told them the Travelodge (we can always change it to HI neerer the time, but can't have both!).

Places are strictly limited, so in the best of British queueing traditions, and in accordance with all things LEC, we'll have a list :-D

I'm sure it might be better......

....but it might be pi$$ing down with rain........

.....I've got an unopened bottle of rum to have at the TL.......

....AND I BOOKED IT :!: :smt097

(yeah, okay, besides that, I've only finished work at 8.00 this morning, so i wasn't thinking too clearly when I phoned the guy up - I'm sure it'll be easy enough to let them know on the day anyway)

Off the top of my head I'd say about 5-7 miles.

Well, when i asked the bloke on the phone about costs, he said it was free in a 6 mile radius - so I'm assuming no more than a 10 minute trip?????

OK, maybe a bit OTT:

Melbourne is the village under Stanton by Bridge in the East and the services are at the Western edge.

Oh f**k!
You know, I actually typed left and right to start with and then thought, don't be silly you can't use left and right with regards to a map!

Dave,

They are a bit busy that evening (something to do with a table for 70????) but it may be worth giving them a ring and asking if they would be prepared to do a bit of a shuttle run?

Also, I was half asleep when i phoned and can't remember how many seats are in the bus

Dave it was an LDV last year... which type number of seats escapes me.. 15-16..

If they are happy, could one of us do the shuttle runs in their bus...

I'd volunteer...
