Donington 2009 Convoy

Click the link above, when you see the web page WAIT for the blue "Proceed to File Download Page" at the bottom right, then click that and on the next page click the "Download File" button. Open or save as you wish.

Apologies for the quality but the camcorder was handheld and the file size restricts the quality such that the hand shake is a little amplified. I had to scrap a good 75% of the footage because of hand shake. Mostly red Elans, for obvious reasons.

I also have the root AVI video which is a lot better quality !

I'll try and do better next year.

Roland

I rather liked the music Roland - who was it? Sounded a bit Dire Straits-ish.

And Sy, thanks for the pic - as I suspected, shame about the background (bloody Volvos!), but not much you could do about that!

Hi Neil

Good to meet you again at Donny. :-)

Now that is interesting, "Dire Straits"? One of my favourite bands and I even went through two of their albums looking for music for this video but none of their tracks were suitable. :(

The music on the video is "Architects of Time", off the Album of the same name, by Martin Daly and Duncan Lorien. The album came out in 1989 so, rather appropriately, it was launched around about the same time as the Elan. A very interesting album of music I've always thought !

Dave

I have no problem giving Dave whatever he wants (within reason) but I don't understand what you mean by 'unreleased', sorry.

DaveT would rather have photographs that have not been shown on the forum, it adds to the surprise when you initially flick through your new calender...
