How long does it take to remove a transom panel with your new weapon?

I've only removed a few bits and the transom is staying attached to the upper structure, but it's one hell of a work out, better than any gym

I reckon 1 hours work would get it out, not bad for a manual process.

It's a good tool, I thought I would of snapped the wire by now, but no...

Sadly not

She's all covered up, Not enough time due to loads of studying.

Im still trying to work out how to seperate the floor from the tub and then strip out the metal work.

She does have the addition of a hard top thou.

Oh well I'll get there one day.

Thought I'd use a bit of the project car to speed up a wheel bearing change on the other car...

Step

1) Remove the steering ball joint.... that sheared the 19mm harden steel bolt, but I got it out...

2) Remove the hub from the carrier... That came out with a 15T press..

3) Remove the circlips from the wheel bearing...

4) Remove the wheel bearing.................STOP............Something looks a little odd

Back in to the loft, go and get a new hub carrier and bearing...

Thank God for the Aftersales....

I guess the car has had a really hard life...

I didn't see front hub carriers on the aftersales list.

Are they still available?

Recently, everything I have requested from Aidan is "no longer on sale".

If you (or anyone else) can find a decent price for a set of carriers, I would love to get them.

With the talk of the town being mirror motors, I thought I'd do a bit more research...

This time I'd have a look at the Prototype...and Doh...I should have known better...

For all intense and purposes the motors are the same....(Phillips head screws instead of Torq screws which hold the motor housing together)

Anyway I've decided to fit new N/A mirrors back on, The car had N/A mirrors on, but at some stage the mirrors were sprayed to match the car. (overspray every where)

The old mirror housings and mounts are slightly different to the production run, would anyone happen to have a new R/H mirror mount please?

Here's a few other pictures,

Mirror glass repair, gently tease out the broken glass,(watch those eyes) go to halfords (or such like), get another piece of glass cut and stick it in.







Would anyone have a new R/H one of these please?

That's another difference, mine are plastic bellows oppossed to the normal rubber ones.
