Plans for 2011 actually get around to driving the car....

Got the car in Nov 2010. work since then:

Replaced rear callipers
Replaced rear proportioning valves
all brake disks re surfaced
Brake fluid change
replaced brake Master cylinder / bled and re bled brakes too many times
Replaced Hall sensor
Replaced ECU
Headlight motors repaired
replaced coils (MSD)
Replaced spark plug leads (kingston)
Replaced battery
Replaced roof
Blocked Oil cooler cleaned
Replaced radio antenna
Orange clips replaced
Bonnet prop clip replaced

Work currently in progress:

Full re-spray
Wheel refurbishment
clean & polish all plastic light lenses

Parts on shelf still to do:

Thermostat / Gasket
coolant temp sensor
Coolant recirculation pump
Mintex front Brake pads
Radiator and head light wiring loom
Mountain chip / boost solenoid valve
Ball joint boots
Coolant, oil and filter, power steering fluid change

Things for later in the year:

New tyres (will be fitted after wheels refurbed)
New engine auxillery belts
Replace suspension (R/H front shows signs of leakage)
Replace Heater valve (not leaking but heater not great... may forget about this come summer)!
Check dashboard earths as intermittently have no windows / fan motor (good slap on binacle cover normally cures it)!
port wastegate if reqd (and maybe replace head gasket after fitting mountain chip)!
New downpipe (will hopefully be made locally)
Work out why passenger mirror is stuck (luckily in the correct place) replace if reqd.
Replace radio/CD player (current one radio is dead but CD changer / tape works fine)
Remove old (non Lotus) alarm and re-fit just remote door locking

Buy my girl something nice for valentines day for putting up with me spending too much money on my Elan!

Wish list:

S2 Alloys
larger turbo

Could I have missed anything?
1992 Pacific Blue, Top end performance Kit. K&N airfilter& HKS BOV. Everest. HiSpec fronts, SS hoses. 2010 Canyon red Evora.

Quite a bit, cant see it all getting done but i do hae a pile of parts for most of it.

Well, me and Graham have just spent an entire day working on the elan. Glad to say great progress has been made!

Rear wishbones now installed, on four wheels for the first time in over a year, thanks to those who managed to get my name stuck to them for me when i was stuck in traffic daaaaaarn saaaarth somewhere :D

New cooling fans installed - old ones are chunky beasts that really did not want to be removed, fortunatly all 8 nuts came away with out any problems what so ever. Getting the new ones lined up didnt present anywhere near as much of an issue but getting the bloody nuts on did. Lots of expletives later they were fitted and test - FANTASTIC thankyou so much Gordon they really are a good buy!

Last but not least i removed my seat belt ready for sending away for refurbing.

A huge thanks to Graham for your help as always!!!

you never know, i might make Donington in the Elan :-D :-D :-D

I'm interested in finding out how you like your new shower cap. I've put a good use for 2 of those that I have. Now it's a good time to get a new one :-)

Of my 2011 targets, I have completed precisely... zero. But it's sure been fun trying to wear out the old tires!
