Postby Simon_P » Fri 22.06.2018, 17:54

Hi All,

My new project require a little attention to the rear bodywork, so I'll start a list of the obvious and add to it as I go.

WANTED!
Rear topshell or left half - Sorted
Rear left and preferably right wings - Sorted
Petrol Filler flap and hinge - Sorted
Left hand rear light
Left hand rear light eyebrow

Bonnet Badge
"Lotus" "Elan" and S2 boot badges
Aerial - Sorted
Hood and Frame (preferably S2)
Rear Brake discI only need one but don't mind buying a pair (if someone has done a rear brake conversion)

Quality needs to be excellent.

I know it's not on your list, but I have a boot lid if you want it - it's BRG, so would need a paint (but even a Pac blue one probably wouldn't match) - no damage - free to a good home (and anyone saving a car from the scrapper counts as a good home!).
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually.....

go on - click this link - you know you want to!

Hi Jim yes saw that but it has a hole in the left rear and is a long way away. The red one is closer but it is more hole than panel.

Thanks Dave for the kind offer. Simon mentioned that there was a boot lid with it so I should be OK.

I will update the list when I get it home.

Hi Simon,

Just in case you haven't found the rear end panels yet:
There's a guy on the farcebook group "Lotus Elan M100 Owners & enthusiasts" who has a rear end from a low mileage front-ended car he's breaking. Located in South Wales.
Never tried this before, but if I've got it right this should be a Direct link to the post

Cheers,
Ron

Well thanks to Clemo being on the ball and Nige turning up for apparently the first time in aeons I happened to be in the right place and it looks like I may have a source of some/all of the panels.

The nights are drawing in so the project could see some activity!

I have a (pair of) rear brake discs available if it helps. Just removed from a 63,000 mile S2 which I’ve converted to the separate hubs. (Also have 4 s/h springs and the rear calipers)
