M100 wheel needed

Postby Elanthrapist » Fri 24.02.2017, 22:47

Hi all,

does anyone have a spare S2 16" alloy wheel for sale to replace the one I have damaged. Anything considered as long as it's straight.

With many thanks and my best regards, George.

If it's the one from DVB I'd stay well clear if you value your car and your life! You really need a replacement that has structural integrity. :poke:

The advert makes interesting reading

"LOTUS ELAN S2

DAMAGED ALLOY WHEEL

This item has previously been removed from a Lotus Elan M100 that we have stripped for parts.

This is a used item that is being sold for parts as it is not fit to be used on a road vehicle.

The sale of this item is for the wheel and centre cap that can be seen in the pictures above.

The rim is 7J x 16 ET60 and the tyre on the rim is completely trashed so not guaranteed.

Please note that this rim is as bent as a Nine Bob Note, so don't buy it unless you accept that there is a chance it may not be salvageable. If you do buy this item and complain that its damaged you will get laughed at and you will have to pay the return postage.

If you are unsure if this item is suitable for your vehicle, please contact us prior to purchase.

Many Thanks

Steve Strange"

What 'parts' can you get from a cast alloy wheel?

Its interesting if nothing else. Spoke to the vendor Steve Strange who states its only fit to wind your hose pipe around, but saying that still wants £75....that's after it being reduced!!! Must want a quick sale. I'm still looking in hope. Someone some where must be hiding one??
