S1 Gear Cables needed

Postby peteoddcar » Sat 22.04.2017, 22:52

I need a pair of S1 gear change cables - they cab be broken/ failed but not messed about with or modified.
I will pay postage and a small fee for the parts but they are going to be put in the boot of my car as spares in case my ones pack up.
Thanks

Pete

Please note that if they do pack up whilst you are out on the open road, as a get you home measure, you can select third gear under the bonnet and drive home in third...

Why do you want S1 cables? They are known to be weak...hence why the S2 had a modified design.

Thanks for the info - dunno - they've done 27 years and 80k I just want some spare ones to play around with and keep in the boot in case my ones go.Do you have some spare S2's and a bracket - I can't run to the £400 + for new ones at present.
But I do have a lot of time and a lot of contacts in the industry.
