I am happy with the results.

Now I just need to get Bills Izuzu intake kit fitted and my Rocker cover painted to match the Blue Samco hoses that are coming with it and I will be very happy.

Dear Tony,

They are actually LGM's design for the BOV intake pipe that replaced my old Bill Isuzu intake kit. You could find more pictures (my older one too) under "Gallery" --> "Stripey". I'm sure you'll be very happy with them.

Hi Nissias and Chris
Here are a couple of pictures of the pods that I made for Tony (abmunro) When I was trial fitting them on my car. All the other pictures he has posted of the pods are the ones I made for him. They cost £230 + postage and come with fitting brackets to allow fitment. They are supplied in primer and without the light units. I have a pair that just need trimming in the garage and could make more as required (or the one piece back panel). As a side note I don't think they would fit the US spec rear end though.

What is different about the Fed rear end that would make these not fit? We have the same Renault taillights on our cars. The UK cars have a bigger area for the registration plate, but on the fed cars there's just a blank black panel between our plate and the taillights.

Hi Chris, I don't think they will fit as I have made them so that you no longer need the 'eyebrow' above the light. So they might catch on the part of the spoiler that is part of the clam shell on US cars and not on UK cars. Looking at Marie's picture I think they would need some additional work. Is that part of the spoiler solid underneath? (upper right hand corner)

the elan is back in Cyprus lol

what else do i need to complete the conversion? (lights, etc where do i buy what?)

oh and does this conversion include cutting up frames and things like that to make everything fit?
and will the lights work fine?

Hi Nik
To complete the conversion, all you would need are the lights from the S2 Elise, I would guess the best and cheapest bet would be from ebay. You would also need the Elise rear wiring loom to either splice into the Elan loom, or you could simply adapt the S2 light wires to match the Elan plugs, which I have seen done somewhere on this site. The loom for reference is C117M0004F..... Elise RR light Harness and costs about £35. You may need to file the existing light apertures on the Elan to get the pods to fit (All Elans being different) But the old lights would still fit and seal if you ever wanted to go back.

Hello Chaps.

I did not need to do any filing at all.

I will be doing the wiring tomorrow.

Anyone wanting to see these in the flesh will be able to at Donington.

I paid £165 for the Elise lamps off ebay of an 06 S2 Elise.

I paid approx £100 to have them sprayed up.

Im very happy how they look, just need to get them to work now. :-D

the first set looks much better than the second one.
are the s2 elise lights different in size and fitment than the newer led type they use for the elise and exige?
