Those Throttle Bodies look like excellent value in terms of the quality of hardware. The ability to play with the tuned-lengths would also help getting the best from the headers and cams - Vernier Pulleys... I 'think' the guys over on the Isuzu site had some adjustable (non vernier) ones made in aluminium??? For the Throttle Body Ram Pipe assembly, the firewall may be too close to fit a straight-line intake + airbox - that would hike the costs up somewhat?

Hi guys

I had a conversation with Matt yesterday as had to drop my car over for some slight alterations he had some manifolds on the jig ( stunning) i no what your all saying wheres the pictures /so i will get some more pictures on pick up next week, also had a GT 40 there that has been rebuilt for goodwood so will add them, Matt added he will be happy to discuss any work from anyone from the lotus elan M100 club if you mention me that will help as mine is the only one he has ever done,, you do have to plan ahead a bit though guys he is busy,,, Pro drive where there discussing work last week.... nige He,s number is 01753 532222 www.simpsonraceexhausts.com (not sure how to add link perhaps you can advise) saturdays you can go over to the workshop to discuss projects at: nursery lane, langley, berkshire SL3 6BY just remember to call first and make appointment, as matt also race,s in hot rods so is not always there.. F1 lotus do you no the website for the Izusu club, i went over to www.newmancamshafts.com in kent they can produce custom wheels and custom camshafts, also the AT power bodies are direct to head so will save some space and hopefully should be able to get some nice polished tuned length trumpets in,, if your interested nige they are prepared to produce a set for the elan ( as ex lotus engineers they were keen) more than one set will obvioulsy save us a bit of money, and development work could be completed on the two together,, as a matter of interest they think a well built N/a balanced on bodies should be good for 160-170+ and should rev safely to 8500 9000 after that solid lifters would be a good idea..

Cams and Pulleys - LEC found Piper to be very helpful with sorting an exhaust system for the Elan, and, Piper (formerly Pipercams) have been designing and manufacturing cams and tuning motors longer than most - might be worth a chat with Piper's Garry Curley - see link for PiperRS contact details
