I'll post some model pics on monday, I got 3 of the 4 LED lights from Lotus, enough to build a mould for them, and make a panel for you. The last LED pod should arrive next week.

They look awesome by the way!

Psycho Smith, I like to see the problem as the water getting in rather than how to get it out; which is why I am making the panel from a waterproof material.
Yes, I appreciate I've broken with Lotus' tradition, but I will design one which will leak and steam up no matter how much silicone and gaffer tape you use, just for the enthusiasts! :-D

Phil, I was behind a Smart car yesterday (but not for long) and it seemed to have a set of small round lights. It might be worth having a look if you haven't already.

All the Led lights have now arrived (and they look fantastic!). So there is no real problem in getting these made, just a delay. :cry:

Looking very nice, but before you reach the point of no return and cut the holes, just a word about spacing:
Costas got it just about spot on. IMHO every other rear panel I've seen has spaced the lights too far apart. It makes them look a bit wierd.
I can measure the diameter, spacing and distance from the centre-line on Elises and Esprits at the show tomorrow and post the results if you like.

Very critical with the Elise light cluster which are a tad too small IMHO but the best option we have. Maybe Costas can supply the spoacing on his?

but just in case :wink:

it might be worth considering some 'styling' lines to break up the surface - something like Lotus F1 & Marie posted on the USA ones? That would give those with light body colours the option of painting in a contrasting colour to break up the expanse of body colour on the already bulbous :oops:
