I understand. That isn't a big concern over here. That is also doable, but it gets complicated and then the driver could STILL forget to turn off their lights...

The warning buzzer seems to be the easiest warning method, it could be accomplished with little additional circuitry.

Does the S2 come with a warning buzzer standard? The Fed Car doesn't.

This should be in 'Things that made you smile thread'... I can see how a sidelight or interior light warning buzzer might be useful but headlamps?... Really? I've always noticed those big ugly lumps sticking up and ruining the smooth bonnet line on my SE's. How can anybody leave their headlamps on.. :banghead:

My Fed Elan has a chime which rings 5 times then stops if the left door is opened and the main lights or parking lights are on...

It had an alarm when I got it, but I took it all out (unless I missed this chunk). I'll have to investigate the chime module is to see where it is...

The "lights on" chimes on my Elan sound the same as these described in the Electrical Manual, page 4, which alert the driver to keys left in the ignition. However there are only 4 radio "dings" vs 5 "dings" for the lights.

This is described on page 8 of the Electrical Manual:

A question for S2 owners... Does your headlight warning buzzer buzz when the passenger door is opened (with the lights on of course) If not, I may have solved the mystery of the missing module! :?:

Thanks Jim.
I guess I’ve never has a passenger open the door before I turned off the lights before!
