Changing the relay using a mirror its a good idea to mark the bottom side of the exsisting one with a marker pen to save trying to work out which way the new one fits. All the connections are identical.

Am at a lost with this thread (I know, it`s not difficult  )

Is this just a replacment relay or does it actually change the speed of the intermittants on the wiper :?

FFS. What's your middle name, NIK!?! :-D

It simply replaces the fixed period intermittent wipe. When it starts raining, you give a quick flick to the intermittent setting then off again. Next time you need to wipe the screen, you switch it over to the intermittent setting. The wipers then sweep at whatever time delay there was between the first two sweeps - ~1 second to ~1 minute.

Dead easy to use and it got a good workout on the way back from Donny.

Yep, this time it's more than a paper clip. It does something you always wanted in the Elan. Especially living in the land of rain.

It's also done before Christmas which is not so likely for my projects :?

I nominate Geoff! :-D

Yep, used a mirror but the bugga was tight  so I decided to get comfy with my head up against the pedals!
Getting out again was the hard bit
What a nice place to put all them relays

I can't vouch for the last three but they are listed by Seloc.

Can anyone confirm if the ones Geoff posted above work?

I don't think it is. Here's a German cross reference that tallies with Seloc (listing 191 955 531) but below is a picture of one on eBay and it is a type 19 which is NOT right so take care.

There's another 99 on eBay but the price is going up.
