I had one with the car, yet to be fitted. I am not sure which kit it is. Does it make a real difference?
The only thing I hate about the Élan is the throw of the stick.
Thanks
Craig

Having just fitted one I would recommend the short shift, whoever supplied it! Mine is the latest by BCN. Reduces lever movement in all directions, making for a much more precise change.
Get it fitted or DIY. Awkward but not impossible. I was lucky (?) but I did not need to do any adjustments to mine when I fitted it: it was set up correctly right out of the box!

It was top of my list to fit to the new car, having had one in Patch.
(Having said that, it would be second on my list if the brakes weren't upgraded, but they are

The shift kit is worth every penny and more. The shift cables made by Brit-car-nut make combined with a short shift kit make an incredable difference in the Elans shifting. Sublime.....
