Well, at long last the garage extension is complete and I have room to get the Elan in.
It was here briefly 4 years ago when I bought it then it went straight into storage.
After loosing the storage facility the garage extension project got underway and the Elan was moved into a temporary facility, now today it has returned.
The Elise will be stood up for next year and we will get the Elan back on the road for the summer.
Can't wait

Well! I know you lot like a picture or two too look at so here is one of her in the garage extension.
After xmas the first thing to do is get her a new battery and have a go at freeing off the brakes.

Well as I said the first thing to do is the brakes and get a new battery.
I have no major upgrades that I intend doing as I would like to keep her as original as possible.
She will be off to GST soon to have the belts changed a good service and mot.

At last a chance to attend to a couple of jobs.
Acquired a new battery.
Managed to free off the binding brakes, the main culprit being the sticky hand brake cable.
Tightened up a loose sun visor that kept dropping into 'eye line' and repaired the glove box mechanism thanks to the write up by Phil
Also replaced the cracked hood pull with one from an SE. And gave the leather seats a clean too.
Going down to GST in a couple of weeks so should be ready for Duxford.

Just back from GST.
Gerald has done a fabulous job as usual.
I gave it a B&C major service and it feels firm and tight.
Will attend to some minor cosmetics over the coming months but hopefully that's the main expense over for a few years.
See you all at Duxford tomorrow.
