Postby muley » Wed 26.10.2016, 17:52

Got myself a project S2.

List of jobs :

1. Cambelt. Uncertain history
DONE
2. Wheels. Being round would be nice. Prefer not to have steel balance weights! Off to BJV Engineering.
DONE
3. Aux belts. Knackered. Prolly due to partly seized..
DONE
4. ..alternator. New one ready to instal
DONE
5. Oil change. Why not? Filter will be off for step (4) anyway.
DONE
6. OSR caliper. Excessive travel. Replace or refurb. Or Upgrade
7. Coolant change.
8. Tidy up under bonnet. It's a bit dirty partly because it needs ..
9. ..new CAS O rings. Already bought. Got lots in stock again!
10. Rad frame. Could use some paint.
11. Radiator. Why not, got a brand new one in stock.
12. Rad. fans. Cheap and easy while it's apart.
13. Window seals. Got to dismantle doors, though. Cheap enough.
14. Split in console.

:D Should keep you busy in the winter months

steel balance weights! :wtf: :smt075 I once had a nice set of alloy's on my Westfield when it came to fitting the tyres
I just stopped the fitter in time as he was about to hammer on steel weights, ever since then I've become very wary :smt018

No, not yet. Didn't sell on eBay so it looks like it will be going into storage.

Yep - if you follow the parts manual you will buy 1/2" screws - - - which are too long! (but fine if you add a M4 washer)
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Hi Mark

No, it was raised manually so I could get to the bolt on the PAS pump. I have no problem getting an erection. ;)
