Winter projects

Postby marvic » Sat 05.01.2019, 01:25

Along with the usual winter tinkering Id like to recover or replace the seats. They are vinyl so prefer leather in grey or black. Happy to recover existing seats if covers are available or buy a good set of seats ready done. Prefer original style over aftermarket or alternative OEM.

I am in New Jersey so needs to be somewhere in the US. Any suggestions out there?

I can't help you with recommendations in NJ. People tend to either replace with Honda S2000 seats or give the seats to an auto upholstery company to re-foam and re-cover. So if no-one has any recommendations I'd suggest looking for general recommendations...

These guys look like they have a good rating on google and seem to do all sorts :)

It might be worth a PM to kmckmc to see if his trimmer is still doing leather seat covers.

one thought: find out where the local hotrodders hang out and ask around. There's always interior customization to do on a bucket T, 34 Ford, 57 Chevy, etc. Leather is leather, seats are seats to an auto upholsterer.
