Many thanks to Neville Nutrocker for your donation. Glad you enjoy the forum and benefit from the advice sufficiently to part with your hard earned cash.

Donington is approaching and the rattly old tin is being dusted off and polished for it's starring role. However, these are very troubled times for more and more people and the financial future is not very rosy. Unlike a certain fiddler of the UK kitty, I have been prudent, so I think it is worth saying that LEC funds are in a healthy state to cover everything for some time, including the forum hosting fees that are due this year. We will of course be delighted to receive donations but please make sure they are affordable.

I've read a lot about people doing donations to the site - is the hosting fee the only thing LEC pays for?

Given the current economic climate, I was amazed that the tins from the Donington stand were positively bulging this year. The deputy kitty fiddler (Peter) has told me that many of you who picked up mugs from the stand put in a lot more than we asked for.
In addition, we received sizeable contributions from:
DaveT from the sale of the calendars.
Enright from the curry night donations.
Deeaitch from the sale of shortshift kits.
Many thanks to them for the time and effort they put in and to everyone else who contributed either their time or money that contributed to making Donington such a success.
I am pleased to say that the kitty is healthy enough to pay the hosting fees for quite a few years, so the long term future of LEC is looking good and we won't have to consider such things as advertising or begging.

Cheers Daffyd (it's funny, but I was sure your name was going to be Roger

), you must have got a good price for it.

Now go and give those trees hell and if you're ever in the Bristol area, I've got a few that could do with a light trim.

Hello, I would like to make a donation by PAYPAL. Can someone PM me with what I need to do? Also are there any of those rather cool M100 badges kicking around? Thanks Paul
