I found a key, one has the Lotus emblem, the other side has a slightly larger recess with nothing in it. Can't upload pictures at the moment. Kind of feels like it should have been a button to press for an alarm - sound right ?

Not quite, Simon. The original key had a button to press for the alarm on one side, and then a Lotus logo in a recess on the other side (at least, mine did). The badges I’m getting made fit that recess. I’d show you mine, but I can’t upload photos either - I don’t think anyone can at present due to a problem with the Forum software. The Geoffosoft help desk is aware of the problem and promises a fix real soon now

lotusrepair wrote:What key blank is that? Need to make spare keys.
i believe it was a JMA blank.
the housing is a standard housing with a hole for LED light i bought from china.
a couple of hours of fiddling about with blue tack, dremel and hot glue + a lotus lapel pin (from etsy) gets you one of these.
I intended to add a CR battery and LED light originally allowing me to use the lotus badge as a button to switch on the LED. but never had the inclination to finish the project.. mostly because i was not sure how to improvise a spring mechanism.
this is the original post where i had that information, sadly i dont seem to have ever mentioned the manufacturerif anyone is looking for blanks. i can visit the shop that made my spare to see if they still have compatible blanks. and get the exact detail information about them (group buy maybe?)

My S2 is a GM/Opel key (pretty horrible) with a useless clicker on it (as shown on RHS of three key schematics above). Would this fit my key?

Hi John, don’t despair, I’ve asked if I can up the order and am hopeful of a positive answer. Even if not, I should still have 2-3 spare for you. Standby

Brilliant. No worries and no rush! I’ve had the logoless keys for years so a few weeks won’t matter.
Thanks again

Order duly increased, but it will delay delivery slightly. Will keep everyone posted next week.
