Dave & other UK purchasers
Following your queries of this morning, below are our suppliers comments based on info from his forwarding agent:

What is to stop us getting slapped with an export tax on these?
Yes, in the event of a hard Brexit. In this case, there will most probably be taxes BUT our supplier will bear these in accordance with our initial agreements. In the case of a signed departure agreement (Brexit) sufficient time will be granted in order to set all this up. So no cause for concern.

I take it they are being made in the EU ? Do we even get an import tax on specifically custom made item ?
Yes they are manufactured here in France. To date, nothing known about what the UK government has prepared in this respect. His forwarding agent confirms that all is in place on the French side, but no information whatsoever is filtering through from the UK.

What will the import customs declaration say ? Will it have cost written on it ?
Yes there will be a Customs declaration bearing a Customs number (870899) plus the value of the goods. All formalities will be carried out by the delivery agent. Our supplier has made enquires with the British Customs but to date no reply has been received.

I hope these answers will allay your concerns.

Hi all
Just short confirmation to say that all funds have been transferred to our supplier (awaiting confirmation from Mark). Hopefully my next message to you all will be notification of dispatch.
I’d just like to thank you all for making this initial Group Buy a success as well as for your trust and patience.
I’ll post same message on LEC.

Sincerely
David (M100turbofr)

Hello All
I have just received a delivery schedule for our rear light covers and have informed each of you separately of the planned dispatch date.
UK buyers (Brexit obliges) will have priority and delivery (dispatch from production unit) will take place between 05/11 and 15/11. I thank the others in advance for their comprehension and trust they will be in agreement. Don't hesitate to contact me in event of any problem. Thanks once again for making this Group Buy a success.

Hi David. Joining the party way too late I am sure (as I only just bought my SE and the light covers are serviceable but tired), if anyone doesn’t complete their purchase I am happy to step in and purchase a set (L&R). Otherwise can I be customer #1 for the next group buy, should one ever eventuate.
Thanks

Salut David,

It looks like you've done a great job and been very busy! I managed to completely miss this as have not been very active in the forum for the past 6 or so years, sadly. Is a second group buy list being formed? Was the special rate available for any batch of 15 pairs or more, or only your batch? Mine are cracked but currently fine to continue using, so no urgency for me.

Cheers :)

Madbilly ?
Thanks for your query. Am indeed envisaging a 2nd Group Buy (3 already interested; that makes 4 with you). Would like ten (10) firm commitments in order to actually confirm our order. All prices figure in the 1st Group Buy. We have a negotiated preferential price. You don't however appear to be in a hurry so I'll keep you in mind nearer the time. At your disposal for additional info if required.

Thanks David, keep me posted. I'm normally pretty responsive, especially to PMs, but at peak times it may take me a few days or maybe even weeks (if I'm fortunate enough to be on holiday!) to respond.
Cheers,
Madbilly (Will ;)) :)
