Hi Guys,
sorry to sound a bit nieve, I need your advice, my handbrake cables seem to be fine and so I am struggling to decide how I can justify these (I seem to be addicted to group buys at the moment and it is costing me a few bob) - what are the advantages of these over stock, and how do they compare to other replacements pricewise or otherwise, I have a set of Dorman Calipers with an Aldrigas adaptor to go on - will there be any benefit?

In my view it depends on the state of your current cables.
Mine have rusted, although it is not visible just where the cable enters the outer at the caliper end, this has caused the cable to swell and stick not allowing the caliper lever to return correctly.
If yours are fine then there probably is no reason to change them.
I am led to believe the ones from SJ’s are around the £45.00 ish mark by the time you get them (includes Vat and delivery) no doubt if this figure is wrong some one will know the price.

As I was intending to do the distribution of these at Donington to save the postage I would think they have to be ordered for delivery to me second week in April and as they should not take long to make up I would think closing the list some where around the 6th or 7th of April would seem about right.

With regards to a second run, all things are possible but I was trying to keep the cost to a miminium and as with a lot of these things the more you order the cheaper they become.
I was looking to Donington to distribute them thus saving on P&P, I only have one cost to amortize in and that is the cost of shipping to me which will be small for each pair.
What I can do is ask the company to keep a record of the cables then you can order them direct and will post the details in the Wiki. When ordering individually there is the chance the price will go up.

Are these cables shorter? so only good for the Hi-spec rear upgrade

For members who are doing the Hi-spec rear upgrade can they still use the stock hand brake cable?
