Nitron/Eibach suspension

Postby bobbrown » Fri 09.10.2009, 12:50

To remove any confusion in the list in the "Suspension and Brakes" index Bilstein/Eibach suspension Version 2 then I have started this as a list.
If you have any questions can you confine them to the viewtopic.php?f=41&t=14116&p=211550#p211550 topic and I will try my best to answer them as they come up.
This list is for those who are happy with the price and are willing to commit to buying them, It does not have to be now as I can probably negotiate the time scales, order provisionally say 25 sets and call them off over say 3 to 6months from the time the development is completed. The price of £1250 is provisional and I have been conservative and fully expect the price to come down not go up but it depends on the number of people that are willing to commit. It is worth noting that this should be a kit that would retail at something like £1800 to £2000 and they fully intend to market and retail it outside of this group buy at a retail price.

Correct my mistake in the title was busy trying to get both topics done at the same time you lot are just too quick.

I would think a day should do it if their calculations are correct as they are not difficult to get on and off when you have all the right kit, ramps etc.

Samples have been set to them today so they can sort out the lengths and fitment required plus get an idea of what the standard rates should be (SE) but I would imagine this is going to take about 3 to 4 weeks untill they are ready to test fit to a car and check the ride, corner weights etc etc etc.

Any use, seeing as the S2 suspension was supposedly one of 100 improvements over the Se

My understanding is that the damping was changed to account for the heavier wheel and tyre combination, I don't know if the spring rate was changed as well, but assume possibly not, as the wheel and tyre are unsprung weight.
