To all of you waiting for the next round:

PNM shipped another batch (of 21 sets) to Dave today so they should be received by Tuesday. Dave will process the list in "payment received" order.

There are STILL 6 participants that have not made their payments.

PLEASE get your payment organized and let's give Dave his money back - since he paid for all of the strips up front.

Just had a box delivered by DHL, so should be re-packaging them all tomorrow with a view to getting them out of the door on Wednesday.

Nearly there......Last lot arrived this morning.......

Just checked the tracking list - the only one outstanding from the last postal run is for Mark B - yours is with the local courier, so should be with you very soon.
EDIT - now shows on the system as delivered :D

I have just sent Mervs out of the door...

I've still got Geoff, Adam and Trevors' here - arrangements sorted for them...

I've got a set for myself!!!!!

I then get onto 'the stragglers'.....

Giovanni - you have paid, but I still need a telephone number for the courier EDIT - Now sent by DHL as per email :D

I have now sent emails (to follow up last weeks PMs) to those who have yet to pay, or make contact with reasons/excuses/appologies....

As said at the beginning, I do not expect payment until I was ready to ship - but they are now all packaged up and ready to go. Whilst I am not going to go bankrupt for the £300 outstanding to me (better than the £4k I laid out up-front!), it would be nice to get straight again.

Also, as stated, if your circumstances have changed and you no longer wish to have the strips, please let me know and I'll offer them to others, no questions asked.

Hi Dave, thanks for shipping! The parts already arrived to me many days ago, but just today I am in front of the gutted door, trying to resolve the puzzle of assembling our strips! posting.php?mode=smilies&f=85#
Does anyone know a simpler way than disassembling the windows?

Sorry, but no. The glass has to come out. Several have tried dropping the glass into the door shell but there is always a screw or bolt that gets in the way. You don't have to gut the door, but you will find it easiest if you remove the glass. It has been a long time since I pulled my window glass, but I believe once you remove the door card and gain access to the insides of the door shell, you remove the up-stops from the glass and release the butterfly clip (don't get your fingers pinched as the door tries to go to the bottom of the door shell) and you can gently raise the glass out of the door shell.

There are several write-up on LEC the most common references are the one in the WikiLEC.

Door card removal is here: http://wikilec.9600.org/index.php/Door_Trim
Door Glass removal is here: http://wikilec.9600.org/index.php/Door_glass
Weatherstrips replacement is here: http://wikilec.9600.org/index.php/Door_ ... therstrips You don't have to do all of the tab rebuilding, but the process is basically the same otherwise.

Well, we're a few months on, and I still have 3 sets left over from the group buy if anyone is in want/need of these items.

Unfortunately, despite several requests to make contact with me, the original orderer(s) have not done so, so I am now in a possition to advertise their availlability to other members.

They are wrapped up and ready to go to anyone who wants a set - same price as the rest of us paid back last year - £75 a pair (including postage to UK address), £140 for 2 pairs to the UK, EU/ROW will be quoted if you are interested.
