I think you should have all received a pm from Matt re the coils can you give a final ok to go ahead with the group buy, first batch of 2nd run.

For your info i called Bell & Colvil to see how much the oem packs were and they said they were obsolete. The guy on the phone suggested i get on to LEC for info about alternatives

I know that your all good for but thought i'd better get a final ok just in case circumstances had changed.

I may also need a purchase (heck at this rate everything in the engine bay will be replaced bar the engine!) although possibly looking more towards March/April but really if another group buy comes along. However I am coming through New York around the 25th February (will look at flight times) and could always consider say a 5-10kg parcel collection at the airport (no liquids - but I can have up to 18kgs in my hand luggage), the problem being actually meeting someone at the airport door.....I will look into it and contact a friend of mine and see if he will be around because if local delivery to New York then meet a friend for coffee could work out a lot cheaper.

I thought they all had to be packaged together in the US and sent to one address in the UK. I thought they were going to Chris.t?

I went on Streetsideauto.com to place the order as the coils are slightly cheaper there (and free shipping). In looking up for coupons online I saw that there were a bunch of 10% off coupons for first time buyers, etc. that expired the middle of November or December. I tried all that I could find and none were active. So I called them up today and they said that there is generally something in their monthly newsletters that come out at the end of each month.

So- here is the question: Do y'all want me to place the order now or wait a week or two to see what the newsletter says? Better yet would be if two more people joined the second batch so I can order that at the same time. If people want me to wait I will get as many as have signed up so far at the reduced (about $8.50 less per pair) price. It makes absolutely no difference to ME if I place the order now or later as I am not paying for them! But if anyone is under a time crunch then I will do it now so that they arrive shortly. Let me know what you think-

thanks for that, much appreciated, my car doesn't have to ready until March or so (the garage are pushing it in and out of the workshop each day and will get around to working on it when they get spare capacity)! So I have no urgent rush on these. Saying that if you need takers in say a month I may cough up for another set and then if someone from the LEC needs a set in the future someone can point them in my direction. That way a deal still can be done. Much appreciated, hopefull we can inspire another few people over the next few weeks!

Also, hmm, just wondering if it would be easier to set up the deal and then for example I paid by credit card and get them sent them to you. That way you are not coughing out anything at all, apart from the re-postage fee which could be paypal'd and then people in the UK can bank transfer me. Just thinking out aloud....dont want to tread on toes if its a problem (or if this has already been covered)!

I had a pair in the first 'group buy' last year which are still sitting in the conservatory, but for a couple of reasons, i'll put my name down on this list too!

For a start, I'll bet that once i fit them to Angies car, mine will go belly up and i'll want another set.

Secondly, i hate to miss a group buy.

Thirdly, it gets the whole enterprise close to the magic number for the best price deal.

I would be happy to join this group buy. Equally, I could be the first in the list for the next. Without reviewing the whole thread, I cannot tell if another buyer at this stage will help with the price. Suffice to say, I'm not in a hurry but happy to buy as soon as is convenient.

With two full batches I am just waiting on the email to see if we have a discount coming. Also- I need to check my PM's as I think that we have someone who signed up to be the receiver for the the first batch (please correct me if I am wrong). We will need a person to agree to receive the second batch of coils. That person would need to be willing to post the other four onward to their final destinations. If there are a few of you near each other it saves posting them onward so let me know how you will want to proceed... The question was asked earlier and I have confirmed that no VAT bills were received for either of the last two packages.

As soon as I know whether we will get the discount I will forward payment info. Jason- I definitely appreciate the thought- as for payment I am up for whatever process works and is the easiest for all involved. If you all wanted to make the payment to Streetside and have the coils sent to me that would be perfectly fine as long as the auto parts place agreed to it (they might question the out of country payment and delivery to a separate address, though?). But I certainly trust that I would be paid back so no worries about the outlay on my side if we go with the route that we have been...

I can take delivery of the first and second batches if you are happy to pick the goods up at the Donington Lotus Show in April. I can also send them on at cost of P&P. Otherwise can you agree who will be the coordinator in your group who will receive and distribute the packs? If you decide on an individual to distribute can you please let Matt know the delivery details.
