don't know if my car is different but the top of the front drop links on mine go into a captive bolt embedded in the front chassis box section.

and after many attempts at fitting the new ones - I gave up the front ones are in very good condition and look fairly new so we put them back on.........

so if anyone wants two of these excellent drop links I will be putting them in the for sale section - at cost

I must admit I did not look that closely at the front ones and assumed they were similar to the rears, it looks like it may require a different approach to fit these.
Think I have a handle on it and it just needs the pin that is used to fit them to have a tapped hole it so that it can be withdrawn and the bolt inserted.

That could work Bob but how would you get the thread or wire through the hole once the set up was inserted? there is no way to push the pin from behind? how about one of those extendable magnets to contect with the pin and pull it through?

If the pin had say a 5mm thread hole in it then a small 5mm bolt/capscrew could be screwed in through the hole the bolt fits in to and the pin extracted and the bolt fitted just a case of holding it still while you pull the pin out to fit the bolt.

Ah - I find that strangly reassuring - so I may not be going mad.

I must stress however I am in no rush for these, they won't get fitted until winter, and I know Bob will have loads on his plate - he is, as always, doing things above and beyond - i just wanted to check they wern't lost in the post.
