I got a call off FED EX today.

They left a message saying

An item is being delivered

A Turbo Kit , this is returned items.

We need to know if ts being repaired and coming back or its being sent here to be repaired.

Which is the bestthing to tell them.....

What has everyone else said?

Ps     Cheers Marie

All I can say is I WANT PICTURES of INSTALLED KITS!!!! Oh and your quite welcome.

Ekapol us still handling logistics for me. As I said before I just like to build stuff. It's theraputic in a demented way. Everything else I hate doing, I just hand off all of my reciepts, shipping invoices & the lot go back to my little room and create.

Tony,

For the first time in ages I got away with out the dreaded for this load
But from past experience I would say that it is being returned to you......less questions that way. In my box Ekapol put a note in it saying that the "Sorry but the parts didn't fit and they are being returned blah blah blah" you may want to ask him if he included the same in yours.

They may come back on the repair and return question and ask the value of the repairs......turbo refurb $200 would be my suggestion......then you maybe taxed on just that. Though I think $200 is too low for them to bother.

Keep the information to a minimum - phone them and tell them "they are returning parts".

As an aside my car arrived in Cape Town this week and I made sure I was present for the customs inspection......I had a bit of a "discussion" about the ridiculously low declared value of the car (£3000) on the Bill of Lading but the age argument and the fact "Lotus Elan SE 1992" wasn't in their black book won the day......I was a bit nervous about the contents of the boot with Marie's upgrade kits and several £Ks worth of "just in case spares" but they never even looked!!!

Good Luck

Tony,

Wow, FedEx is fast. I shipped them out yesterday!

Yes, the turbo is going back to you as I mentioned in the note attached inside the box. I said ..."Thanks Tony for sending me the turbo for me to test fit. But there is no way on earth this turbo would fit inside my car, so I'm sending this kit back to you"

Yes, I wouldn't be able to put another turbo inside my car, would I ;-)

Well it arrived today.

I'm going to leave it boxed as I don't have the time or the spare cash to have it fitted yet.

The Baby is due soon so it may take a couple of months.

Also I don't know who to trust with the fitting yet...

I'm trying to win a gearbox on EBay so can have the quaife fitted ready.

I will probably sell my gearbox that has 21k miles on it when I have the other fitted ( provided I win )

Cheers

Ekapol and of course Marie.

I'm not going to Donington cos of the Baby being due that week.

I'm willing to allow mine to be taken and diplayed.

But I'm afraid it's in large box...

Tony,

Thanks for the offer but if you're not going to Donington (and I think you have a good enough reason :D ) then hopefully somebody who is attending will step up to the plate.

No and mine came exactly the same way. I would dispute it. Sounds like a scam to me.
