I "May" make a start some time soon. Just need to locate the missing adaptor plate bolts that Clownfeet seems to have mislaid

Can Alloy be chromed? Also do you think its unwise to have the new heatshield chromed?

Both can be chromed but, and this is a BIG but, the turbo compressor housing will have to be rematched for tolerance to the compressor wheel as the chroming process will add material to the mating surface. The heat sheild can be chromed easily. It may discolour with time due to heat though. They would look nice for awhile.

Ah, when I said alloy I meant the turbo to filter housing pipe. So not going to touch the compressor housing.

As for the bolts. I have the manifold to adaptor plate bolts, but Monty was round earlier saying Cranburry supplied the turbo to adaptor plate bolts (which I don't have it sems)
Crams, can you confirm which ones you supplied as Mr Parsons and Mr Monty are giving me opposite answers?

I don't want to cut into my bin so I ordered a pneumatic silencer

this is what i did, i think it works well and before anyone says anything its a work in progress, and i will be fitting the BOV kit properly soon.

come on meow, at least get the name right if you misplaced them i can order more.

the adapters were sent out with ARP bullet head studs (round top) and 12-point nuts. they are BLACK as night and 1.700", you can see them here:

Erm, in typical bloke style I overlooked them. Emptied the lovely large box of goodies to find a small bag of bolts/studs/nuts. They're there!

It's 11pm here and I've finished the conversion- took me way longer than I thought but it was great fun and I learnt alot.

I have a huge amount of bits left over...is that right?!?!

as far as controlling the 3-bar and 550's, i am curious if the M100 used the same GM ECU plugs? i just finished paying for a Haltech E6GMX, i can provide pics of the plugs if anyone wishes once i receive it?

last, if anyone has pics, might you post in the upgrade thread.

Check out back posts from Houdini and Dave M regarding the Haltech. IIR, Houdini found a ready-made adapter to mate the Haltech E6GMX to the existing harness but I can't find the exact post ATM. Sadly, the Haltech disappeared from Houdini's garage before I became the Green Monster's custodian.

I was just at the point of buying my turbo (domestic authority granted and funds available). Unfortunately the consequences of my recent off roading misadventure will have to be sorted out first. Provided the car can be repaired I will fit the turbo.
