Fitted the first set of these fans (along with Dico's new rad) last weekend to the SE. Bits of the old fans fell apart during removal and the rad was also history.
When checking the new fans kicked in I noticed how much quieter they were and also they don't run nearly as long as the OEMs. There are group buys which are a replacement and then there are a few which are an improvement -- these fans are the latter. Ta Gordon.

Thanks for the kind words Tony - I see you've put yourself down for another set?

Yes indeed. I've still got your address so will post cheque tomorrow. The fans on the S2 are fine and one was replaced in 2002 but with an alloy head you really don't want to overheat that puppy so whenever the current fans do anything untoward they'll get replaced.

Just chased him again; confirmed they are still available, not to sure about price yet, but I doubt it'll have changed (much! if at all..)

Just back from a few days away - will be chasing supplier, as other than telling me they're still available - he's not given me prices!

Hoping to start making this move over the next week.

John, it looks like you had the last post on the last page and should have been in at number 7 and you were overlooked when the new page started. In future, if you want to add your name to a list just copy the previous list and add your name on the end like this:

1. Scot_otter
2. Steve A
3. lansledj
4. Nicowalker 1
5. hodge
6. saska
7. mikeydude
8. WindyFarmer
9. maz_r
10. chrishewett
11. JohnSlovenia
12.
13.
14.
15.

Unfortunately, I think that Gordon buys them in batches of 5 pairs, so he would have to find another 4 buyers, however rather than wait for another four names to be added to the list, I have a cunning plan if Gordon gets in touch with me. If my cunning plan can't be implemented, then I have a pair which I hope I don't have to use for some time and I'll willingly send them out to you if you need them.

Great Geoff!! Look forward to hearing more of the "cunning plan".
Its very hot here at the moment and I'm running with only one fan fitted. No idea what happened to the other!!
Thanks for the help.

Yes, the buy is on - I'm haggling with the supplier, as he's bumped the price up from last time, which I'm none too happy about :(

Give me a few days & I'll post an update.

Ok guys - here's the much awaited update.

Good news is the buy is on - after much negotiation with the supplier I'm afraid we're looking at tiny increase -
£67.50 per pair of fans;
That will include the fitting kit & correct plugs;

I'm going to get 15 pairs underway (fitting kits & plugs) and will be emailing all shortly to try and bring funds in;
if anyone wants to drop out, this is probably last chance!

UK shipping will be £10 on a pair - collections are welcome; - I'd like to try and avoid shipping outside the UK - but any special needs, I'll do my best to accomodate.
