This was/is an option on the LGM hoops - i have them on both cars, and at motorway speeds you can still hold a conversation! (even with both Angie and I being deaf in one ear!!!!!)

For all of you at work today who had one on order, it should be waiting for you at home today - mine's arrived!

Very nicely made, 10 minutes to fit, well worth the price and the effort on the part of BFG to whom I say a big thankyou!

I'm off to France on Thursday for a 4 day trip down to Bergundy, along the Loire, and back up the coast, so look forward to a report on it's effectiveness for long distance touring - if the weather stays like this I'm looking forward to 1500 miles with the top down, so its arrival was perfectly timed!

Wow - that was a little out of the blue
Guess I will be starting a further list after this one - (although I can't guarentee how long it will take to fill).

I'll send you all a PM with the payment details, I'll need that and delivery address - the blockers get delivered directly - I'll still close the list in about a week to catch any stragglers, once all the money is in I'll place the order - hopefully Classic Additions will have them in stock - the delivery was within 10 days last time - (albeit I was hoping for delivery before the Easter Bank Holiday)
Max and Andy - I'm still trying to sort out photo's - just having a few problems getting the time to obliterate the Reg No. and download the file - it takes a while for me - e-mails, spreadsheets and word docs being the limit of my comfort zone. There are photo's on page one of the thread though.

Hi,
New to LEC (or any forum - virgin post!) but owned a M100 for 6 years. I have a road trip in France planned with my girlfriend. Whilst I enjoy the open top experience myself I think one of these will assist greatly in convincing her the Lotus is the car to go in!

I think I've done the right thing in terms of the list above and will watch out for a PM re: making payment etc.

Absolutely! Just got back from 4 days in France, and the first trip with the wind deflector. It made a world of difference, to the extent that I kept the top down on the stretches of Autoroute we did. Up to 70mph it felt like it used to driving around town at 30, above that it starts to get a little noisy, but not uncomfortable. Do take some sun block though, if it's hot, the cooling breeze with the top down tends to make you forget the power of the sun but you'll regret it later in the day!

Thanks for the feedback Chris. The Elan has previously had a spirited visit to Le Mans for the 24hr and I was happy without the deflector at "70mph". The girlfriend has a lot more hair than me though!

Glad you enjoyed the Wind Deflector - I gave the BRG a good run out the other day and found it pretty good - I was a little unimpressed until I worked out that you have to have the side windows up aswell
which is obvious really.....
I am just a bit slow at times.....

Does anyone want to take mvf906 up on his BNIB Classic Additions wind blocker?
Just to stress I have no objection to sending the money wherever or back to you, this is just helping out a fellow LEC-er
If you are interested - you may get it a few days earlier than Classic Additions can deliver it, I'll leave it to you to contact mvf906 directly and sort, and just advise me what to do, I probably won't be ordering the windblockers until all the money that has been sent is cleared - so it will probably be towards the end of next week.

I was last to sign up for this and therefore last in line for getting mine early but on the basis the item offered by mvf906 is:

1) Identical (both in design and being brand new) to those that will be ordered direct from Classic Additions
2) Will be mailed in an appropriate manner, in the original or as effective packaging so as to avoid any damage in transit (at no additional cost)
3) Will arrive earlier than the group buy

then their appears no downside to the purchaser and helps mvf906 limit his losses to re-mailing costs.

I have already transferred funds and confirmed my week time delivery address to BFG in the BRG (can you please confirm receipt?) but if mvf906 and BFG in the BRG can co-ordinate delivery / cash between them, then I would be happy to take mvf906's.

I have no pressing rush to get the Deflector so if anyone's needs are more urgent by all means step in - just putting my hand up as it seem daft for mvf906 to be sat on a brand new one that he no longer needs.
