The date has probably slipped due to the material availability and getting it shipped from the USA probably looking at the end of May/ early June now

All the metal is here and the process has started, it will take a little while to get it all cut and machined as there are something like 800 cuts just to reduce the tube and bar to the right lengths, plate is in the process of being laser cut and bent once these jobs are completed it is a cas of TIG welding them together a lot of work.

The sheet 1430 chrom moly steel was £250.00 a sheet times six sheets that's £1500 all the tubes etc (added up to about 90 meters) £2500.00 before I even started.
Then the cost to laser cut and bend the sheet, machine the parts, weld it together, galvanise the assembly, finish machine it etc, before you get to the bushes and the ball joints gets a bit frighnening but the end result should be well worth the effort as they will be half as strong again as the originals and made to last for years to come.

Make the most of it as I do not see me doing it again as it has take a lot of organising never mind the work to make them but there should be close to 50 sets when finished.

Note: the material above does include the tube for the rear upper links which are reasonably straight forward.

BTW: I've just calculated how many cuts I need to do just to get the material into the lengths required its 1650 just hope my bandsaw is up to the task and wonder how the blades will last at £33.00 each but at least it's not a DIY one as the blades are 3020mm long x 27mm.

Parts are in the process of being cut out of the stock tube and bar but it takes a while as there are in excess of 800 cuts.............
Then it machining time again this will take a while as it is a lot of parts but progress is being made.
