Tony, UK SE's don't require a cat.

Tony,
Just to clarify, the requirement for a cat came about as the way to get exhaust emmisions to meet a 'new' (lower) standard which was introduced in the gap between SE and S2 production runs!
There is no (legal) problem with running one, and it will make for less dead polar bears, as long as you change the memcal and fit an O2 sensor etc etc etc.
Just because you fit one, it doesn't mean that you will need to meet the newer emissions regs (you still get up to 3.5% CO, and 1200ppm hydrocarbons).

As always, but we need to make sure that we can hit the magic 10 before we bother going any further.

Hello
Just going to put some part numbers to these to keep it all nice and tidy. Can you edit the title so people can register their interest in 2.25" systems in this thread also? Or maybe start another one for 2.25" systems.
PIPEXH1 - 2.5" system - suit Turbo - With Sports cat
PIPEXH2 - 2.5" system - suit Turbo - Without Sports cat
PIPEXH3 - 2.25" system - suit turbo - With Sports cat
PIPEXH4 - 2.25" system - suit Turbo - Without Sports cat
PIPEXH5 - 2.25" system - suit Non turbo - With Sports cat
PIPEXH6 - 2.25" system - suit Non Turbo - Without Sports cat
Kind Regards

Garry,
I'll change the title, however you do realise that PIPEXH4 would be in direct competition with Peco?
Just checking as you'd previously indicated that you wouldn't want to compete directly.

Hopefully they can continue supply but im just getting prepared just in case.
Has anyone had any further news from Peco as yet?

As far as we can gather Peco are back in business (buy-out) and will continue to ship 2.25" SE (turbo non-cat) systems through Cybox on E-Bay.

Okay then. Shall put that on the back burner for now and carry on with the 2.5" development.
if we make a N/A system, this would most likely be in 2.25" also so doing the different front to suit the turbo will be very simple. We shall see when the cars are here i guess.

Garry,
I doubt a cat is required with the N/A - only a hundred or so produced, all UK and pre-emission requirements.

No worries. Will consider that when developing the exhausts.
Thank you for all the Info.

Peco may have limited resources at the moment. Their inability to respond to emails and provide basic information on availability is worrying. I would prefer to see a competitive product from Piper.

Peco do not have sole right to produce an Exhaust for LEC + peco is on the noisy side and that put a few members off. The more competion the better, gives members more choice

IMHO go a head and do the 2 1/4" system as i would imagine this wil be the system most will go for. I may even buy a silencer of you lol

Am I being stupid? Is there a target price for EXH2/4?
Would this include the ceramic coated down-pipe?

Target is currently aimed at around £300 (excluding any cat), I'm guessing that wouldn't include any ceramic coating and would start from the triangular flange, same as the peco.
