Wheelarch liner - front edge s/s clamping plates **CLOSED**

Postby paulwatkins » Sun 31.05.2009, 17:57

Guys,
Geoff recently asked me about obtaining a set of stainless steel clamping plates for the front edge of the front wheelarch liners, where they fix to the fibreglass undertray. (Geoff, if you've got a picture, could you please post it up?). If your wheelarch liners are anything like mine, the leading edge has seen better days, and the front fixings are not too clever. This plate will clamp the liner across its span

I went to see the fabricator on friday, and he will be happy to produce them for us.

The clamp plates will be £5.00 for a set.(2no)

The fasteners will be £2.00 (this is for rubber rawl nuts with s/s machine screws and s/s washers (4no), to replace the plastic plug and self-tapper arrangement)

Postage will be £2.00 ish(guess)

Anyone else interested in a set if its a go-er?

Just so you know - I made these plates out of aluminium last year because the leading edge of my liner was drooping badly (and being made worse by collecting the passing wind no doubt) however when I took one off to measure it up for Paul, the liner has recovered well.

 do you know, I still haven't got a clue which bit this is - I'll have a look next time I'm fiddling with the BRG  .

However needless to say, this is a group buy and I never could resist one

Dico,
Just think of them being like Pot Noodle. Before they invented it, you didn't know you needed it. (Except Geoff's stuff isn't likely to make you :smt078 )
