camber adjustment plates

Postby bobbrown » Tue 15.11.2011, 10:20

Did think about the camber adjustment plates in the past as they do seem a bit expensive at around £4.00 each and there is 4/car
I could, if there was enough interest get a full set of 16, that's enough to meet any adjustment needed for £12.00 + delivery, postage should not be much as they are small.

Get the plates Laser cut and then drill the holes in different places so you end up with 10.5, 9.5, 8.5, 7 mm plates, drilling the hole accurately is not a problem.

A list of those who want them not just interested as I need to work out how many to get laser cut,

It would appear there are two types of fixings for the top ball joint with these camber plates, the ones that rust into the ball joint, either cap screws with a "K" nut or just hex bolts and Nyloc nuts.
The cap screws do have a higher torque setting 26 to 29 ft/lbs against 16 to 18 ft/lbs for hex bolts and I'm assuming the latter is just 8.8 tensile strength against the stronger cap screws.
I can look into the cost to supply new cap screws and "K" nuts but the nuts are not cheap as they are aircraft spec so strong.
I would think they are likley to come in at £5.00 a set, thats 4 cap screws and 4 "K " nuts.

Bob.

Bob

Are these the same on cars both sides of the pond?

Do they replace parts A100C109F, A100C111F, A100C110F and A100C125F?
