Carbon fibre sparkplug and oil seperator covers

Having had a few enquiries about the ones I have made up for myself following a members request for an OE plug cover (and now I have a 'trial' piece sent out to another LEC member), i was wondering if there is a possible market for a short production run of these items, and what sort of money people would pay for them?

I AM NOT A PROFIT MAKING ENTERPRISE - ALL MONEY OVER AND ABOVE MY ACTUAL COSTS WILL GO TO THE LEC KITTY FOR THE UPKEEP OF THIS SITE

Basically, I can source the materials in suitable size sheets, trim and drill them to fit, and provide the right size stainless steel button head screws - it will look like this:-

This is a list to guage interest at this stage - there is no committment to go ahead.

List for interest in plug cover:-
1)
2)
3)

List for interest in oil seperator cover:-
1)
2)
3)

List for interest in both:-
1)
2)
3)

How much would people wish (or be prepared) to pay for these items?
I can tell you what it'll cost me to acquire all the bits, so what is it worth to you to 'bling' up the engine bay (and add lightness to the car!), and help keep this site running for all of us.
Basically, the plug cover would come in at about £12 with bolts, delivered to UK, and the seperator cover would be less (nowhere near as much material or postage, but more tricky to make), so about £8.

Is it worth £20 for the pair? - You tell me!!! - would you expect to get them made, delivered and ready to go for a tenner (no chance!), would you happily pay £25 or £30 for LEC benefit?

Basically, getting the stuff in bulk is a bit cheaper, but I ain't gonna spend every evening for a week making stuff up and posting it out just to add £2 to the kitty - if you don't want to spend the money on me doing it and Royal Mail getting a couple of quid, feel free to make your own and have carbon sheet left over :D

Would you rather pay the actual cost and make an anonymous donation whereby only Geoff knows what you've given?

I would prefer to have everyone paying the same at the end of the day, and will go with the majority vote - of course, anyone (everyone) is more than welcome to make donations to Geoff at any time :-D

Now Dave, you know we can't resist a list...!

Firstly, thank you for the generous offer of your time & effort to help us all along. </grovel>

Personally, I think it would be better to make it an all-in-one payment to include donation to LEC; keeps it all straight and above board. As you say, though, majority rules...

As to cost, I'd happily pay £15 for the oil separator cover (do say if you think that's too mean?). Already painted the plug cover to match the car, so wouldn't need this; I'll let those who'd like this part discuss a price.

p.s. You obviously meant "anyone (everyone) is more than welcome to make donations to LEC via Geoff at any time" :D

I'd be happy with spares for the shelf plus a donation to LEC for £30.

A group buy is never complete without the SORN specialist :D
I'll make him aware.

Ok, call me crazy but...........

Are there other bits (plastic covers, pipes, etc.) that could be done too? The reason I ask is that, while I'm not interested in the spark plug cover (as I have a painted one already), I am interested in the oil seperator cover. However, I think it might look a bit odd to have only one piece in CF in the engine bay.

Don't know if you have any interest in exploring other CF parts in the engine bay though Sir Pink. Just thought I'd ask though.

Blair, I'm not really a composite fabricator - I just carve bits up!

That said, is there anything in particular that you'd like?
