This is not an attempt to hijack Tony's thread, but as per my post in his thread I agreed to investigate getting OE springs made up separately. I've now had a quote from DFaulkner to match the OE specs as per the wiki from Tony's measurements.

I'm planning to order a full set for my car on 6th June (ie just after the next BH weekend). Even if no-one else signs up, I'm ordering mine and I don't want to leave this open indefinitely to get a minimum number. Please only sign up if you're happy for the GB to go ahead within those timescales and at the prices below.

Pricing:
Fronts:
2 off £47.95 ea (£57.54 inc VAT) 10 off £32.00 ea (£38.40 inc) 20 off £25.50 ea (£30.60 inc)

Rears:
2 off £45.95 ea (£55.14 inc) 10 off £30.00 ea (£36 inc) 20 off £23.50 ea (£28.20 inc)

All springs gloss black powder coat finish
Delivery 14 working days approx. from confirmation of a order
Delivery is a further £9.50.

If people are happy to have them delivered to me and collect from north Bristol or via LEC post, we can split the delivery cost. Payment will be made to dFaulkner directly.

As you can see there are pretty good discounts even if we can get 5 car sets, but if we get 10 it's even better.

And said he was going to get prices from GAZ but he might have been waiting to get the dampers sorted.

I know the Turton's prices are a couple of years old now so aren't necessarily valid but for the sake of completeness I thought it might be worth throwing them in here.

I will need to replace my springs when I replace my dampers, but I'm waiting on the damper work by Tony for now.

Jon, both you and Tony have done some fantastic work on the OEM suspension replication and like Madbilly I'm awaiting the outcome of the rear damper issues before signing up.

Having recently been subject to HMG's ongoing austerity drive (ie redundancy) money & cashflow is a factor and with this in mind I to was wondering whether to buy the springs now and the dampers later as this would certainly help me.

I fear that in opening up two supply routes, and with people waiting on Tony's ongoing activities, there is a risk that we'll end up watering down any bulk buy discounts.

I'm sorry for being a pain but if those who have signed up on Tony's thread could be convinced to buy the springs from you (all be it via a different manufacturer) this would leave his thread purely for the supply of dampers and would help poor skint gits like me and reduce your (and Tonys financial risk)

Probably all to difficult now but just a thought!

Hi Pete,

events have overtaken this thread anyway - I u2u'd Paul already as he's the only one signed up. You may have seen in another thread I've gone an bought a set of Nitrons, so there's no longer any need for me to replace the OE springs. I'm happy to pass on details to anyone who wants to run with this, but basically having discovered OE front dampers aren't available any more, running out of patience with Gaz and having a pax ride with Rip at the Castle Combe day convinced me to go Nitron and they should be going on the car next week.
