PNM has offered LEC a one time discount for the weather strips if we can order more than 25 sets. This only came about after so many were asking for replacements.

A set or a pair is both sides or enough to do the entire car.

Wienlot made the introduction for LEC and PNM has been very generous in making their offer.

Everyone needs to take a look at their strips and decide if they need/want a new set.

The regular price is £69.00 + VAT but the special price will be £55.00 + VAT (£11.00).

They will send a bulk shipment to a central UK address at no charge for redistribution and on-shipping to those in the UK would be £10.00. Shipping to the rest of the EU (international rates) should be £22.00.

For the USA, they will ship a bulk shipment to a central address at their cost (which we will split among all buyers) and on-shipping will be $12.00 to anywhere in the Continental USA.
Alaska and Hawaii will be more (but you always know that, right)...

These strips are LONG - 40+ inches, so not easy to ship.

VAT will NOT be charged for the USA and Canada buyers.

Canada is expensive to ship to from the US as it will be a LONG package, so maybe a single bulk shipment there will be a better choice.

It will truly depend on participation! If we don't get above 25 takers, then the unit price will be more. If we go above 35 sets, the price COULD go down even a bit more.

Rather than having the list getting copied over and over, please post a simple request to be added to the list and I will put you on the single list. If you want more than one set, let me know and I will add you multiple times so we can keep track of the demand. If you decide you want more later on, just ask and you will be adjusted.

When the time comes, payment can be made via PayPal (personal payments please) or bank transfer (EBT payments/cheques). No payments will be necessary until the list is final and we will send the methods and details to each subscriber.

We will also need you to send your name and address details which I would prefer to be done via email and not PM as my PM box is always filling up.

That is the deal, so take a look and decide if you want to take advantage of this offer and then send a post asking to be added to the list.

I know i haven't followed the instructions, but i have 'the power' so have editted the list and put myself at #9

has anybody already fitted these? I have been warned that aftermarket strips aren't as strong as originals so don't push against the glass with enough force...
Not a dig at all just wanting to make sure they are of equalish quality

To my understanding, the "modify and tweak" DIY strips have a plastic spine so not very stiff. You also had to add material to be able to attach them so they are not a monolithic mounting area. PNM's have a stainless spine instead of the original sheet tin and are made to the correct height so when you are attaching, the spine is directly affected.

Several members have already installed them, so maybe someone can join in and give their first hand review.
