Sorry mate, life's been tough but I will be back to normal (and starting work on my car again) within a couple more days.

I've not seen a PM, and I can't find you in any of my varied bank accounts that I have access to just now - I suspect I have your PayPal details but not your bank details. Gaunnae PM me your bank details and I'll send funds and PM my shipment address.

If anyone wants the PayPal address it's dapinky@ukonline.co.uk (but don't send me any emails there - it's a void account!)

If anyone wants to send a cheque, let me know and I'll send you my address.

Hi everyone,

Firstly, please accept my appologies for not updating sooner, but in my defence, time rushes past and individual days mean little to me now I'm retired :D

Anyway, I have chased up the manufacturer (who had a 3 week shut-down over Christmas - should have been 2, but such is life!).

I have heard back from them this morning and am told that the parts should be ready on Thursday (16/01/14).

As soon as I hear from them, I'll arrange collection and get them sent straight out.

I can also confirm that all of the first batch have been paid for, sent and received (the last set went to Jeemy this week once he got his paperwork sorted out).

Also, payments have been received from all on the second list (but cheques received have not yet been presented to the bank, and wont be until I have the units shipped to you - designed to minimise any grief in case of loss in postage etc, which I don't expect!).

Just an update, so you know I haven't forgotten this one and run off to an exotic destination with your money in my pocket...... :D

I have (today) received an email to appologise for the delay, but saying that the shims are now cut and ready for collection.

That is the good news :D

The bad news is that due to unforseen circumstances, I'm not sure that my original plan to have them picked up is likely to occur very soon (other things are far more important), and I am NOT going to press for that to happen instantly.

So, if they can't be collkected on my behalf, I will make a trip up to Yate next week to collect them.

Either way, I fully expect them to be out to you by next weekend (end of January).

Thanks again for your patience during the unseen delays (I knew the first batch worked out far to well to be repeatable!).

Ah, Iain - at least you appreciated the irony of my post

Anyway, we have a further update....

The shims have been collected from manufacturer, and handed on to another person in a busy shopping mall (just like in all the best spy movies)....

...they should end up about 10 miles from me by this evening....

...Once I have made a phone call using the correct pass-phrase, I hope to be given directions to a secret rendezvous...

...then, fully reconnoitering the locality, I hope to collect an un-marked package and return to base.

Once there, I hope to check the merchandise for quantity and quality, and then prepare them for onward supply to the end users.....

okay then - I'll pick them up and post them out!

Dave, absolutely no rush for me. They are just going to go into a box for future use one day so whenever you get to them is fine by me.

Well, there's good news, and bad news......

....the good news is that I have all of the shims in front of me, ready to go :D

The bad news is that I had a clear-out of my PM inbox a couple of weeks ago, and have deleted all of the addresses I need to send them out to

This wouldn't have been a problem if I'd also not deleted the spreadsheet I had with the addresses on it

From other records, I have addresses for Nobby, Woody, Elanlover & Ripo (so I'm over half way sorted :-D )...

but can John (B-C-N) & Adam (Adster) please let me have the postage details (again!).

Paul (Hodge) - you have PM.
