Daniel
Me again. I've just remarked you're employing the plural "covers"!! Indeed, you have just ordered one (1) RH side cover.

To clear up any doubt, I'll nevertheless request confirmation from the supplier regarding the reflector and revert back.

David,
My emails to you don’t seem to be getting through.

David,
now on holiday with poor internet.
I definitely want clear lens covers as per standard originals.

The thing is "as per standard originals" turns out to be "tinted" in reality acc to BCN (John).
my originals look clear to me!
I too get the impression that my originals are indeed "clear" but it's just perhaps an impression.

The term "clear" appears to be creating a problem. Did you see BCN's earlier comment
I have around 15 original tail lights in different stages of destruction from US and UK cars and EVERY ONE of them has a "grey/copper" tint on the outer cover.
.

To date, there is a consensus for "tinted covers" emerging with only 1 person (Anders) wishing a clear transparent finish. Let me know your final choice.
Can't understand the email problem. Try the cabrach@ free.fr email address to see if it works.

Daniel (Danevansgolf) and other buyers
In reply to Daniel's question, the central red reflective part is produced separately then added onto the cover. The covers will therefore be supplied with the central reflector.

David,
Tonight I’m in a hotel with internet. :bananasex:
Have you been getting any of the emails I’ve sent? The last two I tried did not give an error message (yet!). Are we sorted?

Has anyone ever measured the tint on the OEM light covers? I know the police here in the US have meters to check the tint on windows to ensure they are not too dark.

Meters are something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Gain-Express-Landtek-Instruments-Transmission/dp/B00MXNKRYQ/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=Gain+Express&qid=1560094471&s=gateway&sr=8-12

Maybe the supplier can check the tint level on the OEM light cover samples provided?

Yes I got your reply (original tint) but also with an error message! Strange, you appear to be the only one encountering a problem. By the way, only one "r" in cabrach if you're using it.
Enjoy the rest of your break.

Hi All
Email sent to you all. Confirm I have just transferred all the deposits to our manufacturer/supplier. Slight delay due to Paypal carrying out verifications on my person prior to authorisation. This should allow our supplier to prepare the moulds and to start production. As soon as I receive confirmation of receipt of the transfer, I'll notify you. Likewise for our order N°.
Your replies regarding the desired "finish" have been noted and communicated.
Our supplier will be closed from August 5th to 18th for his summer holidays. I'll advise should this impact our order.
I would say the majority of the "spade work" has been completed. We can (or rather I can) sit back and relax for a while.
