Yup, 987s are all fine; different engine altogether. I had a 2008 RS60. Wonderful car and the only one I REALLY regret selling

Well it is with great sorrow that I have to announce that the love of my life has finally departed. I'd like to say she's gone to a better place but who knows. Some will call me mad for selling it, others will smile knowing that I will return again to Elan ownership, but for the moment there is a very happy guy called Steve driving it back to Kidderminster. £7,250 about £1k under what I was hoping but the market dictates the price not the seller.

Thanks to everyone on this forum who has helped me get the car to the condition it was finally in. Without it I wouldn't have owned it as long as I did.

I'm off to the pub. I've left the wife counting the money....not sure that was very wise of me. :(

Andy
My wife's just divorced me because I wouldn't open the car door for her!
To be fair I panicked and swam straight for the surface.

I have owned 4 Elans to date and every time I sell the car I think it's a good idea. Something new comes up but as the months go by the need for another Elan keeps popping its head up and here I am looking for number 5.

Andy, speak to you next year when your new one arrives lol

i think you missed a good one there Gee21. You don't often see them come up in as good condition for such a steal of a price

I agree Rambo and if I had the extra money I would have bought it but I really need to stick to budget. By the time I bought the car plus shipping costs or travel costs I'm nearly 2k over my budget. Need to stop somewhere.
