I'm gutted but I'm not going to make it. My dad will be newly out of hospital and, while it is more of tough decision that it really should be, I feel I have to go up and help my mum with the old guy.

Dear Alan:

Having been in your shoes very recently myself, all I can do is offer some encouragement. You are making the right decision to remain by your father's side.

There will always be opportunities to get together and play with our "toys", but the time we get to spend with our parents is priceless and irreplaceable.

Sincerely,

Yep. Been there, seen it and done it, too.
It's the right decision Alan, but, as previously mentioned, you'll be missed.
Good luck to you and yours matey.

Any volunteers to buy a few things on my behalf? I'd like:

2 off Elan M100 A100E6279S **ECM-Turbo Non-Catalyst (F/W) 51 122.95 50
1 off Elan M100 A100E6028S Starter Motor B3 4 464.11 120
1 off Elan M100 A100E6040H Ignition Coil B3 8 76.12 15
2 off Elan M100 B100B6168S Seal Assy-Rear Deck (M8161 On) 8 98.63 10
1 off Elan M100 C100B6167S Seal Kit-Falling Pillar LH 1 284.12 45
1 off Elan M100 C100B6190S Seal Kit-Falling Pillar RH 7 174.25 45

Which I reckon would come to £345 in the, possibly unlikely, event all of it was available. Naturally I'd provide the money up front. Not sure how I'll pick it up at this point but I don't need any of it urgently.

Hi chaps,

I have had a hectic few weeks and need to catch up. Obviously I am going to leave as early as possible Sunday am, what time do I need to be there so you can have / I can clean the old NA ?

I start a new job on Monday so I shall leave as early as reasonably practible, unfortunately.

Right, I am off to clean the old girl, it is always muddy at Spa Francorchamps.

See you all Sunday !!

Your car needs to be on the stand for 9am so you need to call me on my mobile as you need your ticket. I'm staying at Dunstan, but can meet you at Hethel and bring you back for the convoy, but you need to find a pax ride with someone! If not then stay at Hethel and miss some fun. You're car is in 'til at least 5pm.

Hi Dave,

We`ve got tickets. I`ll leave Maidstone 6.30am, probably easier if we got straight to Hethel, unless we can easily hook up / mee up with any other Elans coming from our direction ?

You need an exhibitor's ticket else you're in the car park with the rest!

With Hamilton`s penalty, if Alonso hadn`t stopped for intermediates, he would almost certainly have won. As Ross Brawn agrees, we have the best driver, i`m sure the team will get the car right.

Seriously though, I do need to collect my exhibitor pass !

See you Sunday Gary !

Thanks Oliver, Gareth and Nige for the 3 official exhibitors cars :smt023 ,

and to the chap with the Pacific Blue who managed to blag his way in as well (again!) - some excuse about not being able to get out after setting up the stand due to traffic problems. :-D Good excuse though, used it myself too. :D
