I know it's probably a stupid question, as the above post states that tickets should be purchased directly, but do i just get mine (and Angies!) or is there a 'group buy' being organised????

Basically is the list for those who want tickets, or those who have got/will get tickets and therefore will be there?????

(and there is no mention of beer - is this a sign of responsible attitude to drink/driving, or an oversight on the wording, or are we off to the pub afterwards?)

Dave,

Assume your buying your own, unless you want to organise a group buy (to save us all trying to get through at the same time).

As the tickets are not on sale until the 1st of July, this is only a list of intended attendees :)

Well, you know me and group buys  (nearly as bad as the English half of the 'Mad Mancs')

As such, i have sent the following e-mail to the published address.

Hi,

following a recent circulation on the Lotuselancentral.com website, i am enquiring as to availability of tickets for this event. I understand that they will not be available until 1st July, but was wondering whether they would need to be purchased by individuals, or as a 'group booking' on behalf of membership.

Dave Edwards is our Forum Liaison contact, and i don't wish to tread on any toes, but would be happy to assist in co-ordinating numbers/orders for these tickets, if that is the appropriate way to do it.

Thanks,

Dave Pink

Now, I don't want to upset Mr Spud by stealing his glory, but i am happy to assist (as i'm sure there are plenty of other things to be doing) for this event in becoming the SPOC (single point of contact) for these tickets. However, if i am out of order, please feel free to tell me to go and take a running jump.

Okay, I've had a reply from Jill, and they are happy for people to order direct from them if they wish (after the 1st July), or for us (well, it seems like me  ) to do a group buy.

Obviously a group buy will make it a lot easier for them as they are expecting a big interest in the event.

As such, can i ask/asume that everyone who is on the list wants me to order/buy a ticket on their behalf??

Please delete yourself if you are intending to buy direct, or at least let me know by amending your posting/list, by e-mail, PM, fax, letter, carrier pigeon or phone.

I have told them that i will send an updated number on Monday 9th June, and each Monday thereafter, to enable them to guage levels of interest.

At this stage it is an expression of interest, but when push comes to shove, i will need definate numbers by the end of the month, as I think I will be hitting the plastic quite heavily on this one, and much as i like BBQ food, i dont want to end up with 10 tickets for myself

Of course, there is nothing to say you cannot purchase directly if you so wish, even after the offical sale date, right up to the event date (subject to availability).
