You big woose - all that banging on about lack of LEC camping trips and you decide to slum it in a Travelodge :!:

Not like you`ve never stayed at the Lodge  got a decent deal and if Dico decides to go it`s only cost me £42 :-D

BTW are you not going to the show?

It's the w/e before I go on beach patrol in Rhodes so it could be a bit tight. Looking at the options at the moment (plane/Travelodge or car/camping) I'll probably make up my mind just when the venue and BBQ tickets are all sold !

Not sure the need to book. I was just going to book a week or few days in advance.

This is the place I was going to try first:

Norwich Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Martineau Lane
Norwich
Norfolk
NR1 2HX
01603 620060.

Would be better if we can see who is going and perhaps reserve a spot where we can all pitch together. Who has confirmed they will be camping?

Not paid enough attention to this section recently, but I'm up for camping.
Undecided as to which nights, so I'll go with the flow.

They're waiting to see which campsite Neil's going to so they can book the next one a couple of miles away :asleep: :asleep:

I've heard that there's a rush on earplugs at Boots in Norwich ;-)

That's why Rip put me at the top of the list - so that no-one can say they weren't warned!

I went to "The Big Chill" last weekend, and you should see what my seismic snoring did to the campsite there:

But you've not frightened them all off Neil  There's still 3 babes left standing. Perhaps they were the wise ones with the ear plugs

Oh and Gareth - that's one of your better ideas. The lovely Jill fae Airdrie (BBQ lass) suggests that most sites are a long way from Hethel

Not knowing anyone at Dunston Hall I don't feel it right I ask them if they would accept campers if they have the grass space.

Otherwise I'm still aiming to stick to the main campsite discussed and will call them at the end of this month to reserve speace, if they need us to and if they will take groups.

Doubt we'll be able to stay Sunday night, may only stay Saturday.

Wota a crazy place!

Number for the site went to automated mesage thing and gave this booking number 0845 1307633

Some old geezer answered and got through that we are not members etc etc He wanted to know the length and width of each tent??!! Never in my life have I experienced such a petty request but apparently all regulated campsites need to know for fire and safety... Totally new to me.

Anyway, they have 8 plots left that weekend, even though we can's book by plot, and I have been put off going with them.

I have no idea how I can measure my tent when I have no-where to put it up, but I was given the 'useful' advice that I can put the make and model 'anywhere' into my computer to get the size... riiight...

Up to you lot if you want to get a measurin and tolerate this nonsense or go elsewhere...

...you might be able to tell my mood is not the greatest...

Ask the old geezer if he wants to know the size before or after erection. That'll shut him up.

Why am I not surprised?

Hoon: All meet up on Saturday morning & drive over there together, because it looks like it may be more fun than sorting out the camping.
